Took my 2017 15' MBP into Apple today. They will replace the keyboard, battery, & case at no cost. The caveat, they need a week minimum which I don't have. I decided to buy a new one & want to donate mine to someone who is in design school & in need.
Here's a quick way to generate SVG charts in Excel for use in @sketch or @figmadesign or @AdobeXD or whatever without having to manually resize everything.
I've tried and paid for ALL of the chart plugins, but they're no good. This works every time, for any kind of chart.
Thanks to everyone who has browsed, bookmarked, and shared my little passion project, the design encyclopedia.
It’s wonderful helping others learn this fun profession.

This Product Design Encyclopedia is definitely worth checking out. It’s not every day that someone puts together such a comprehensive resource like this.
1/ Design leaders are failing junior designers. I consistently see junior designers and design students ask for help with their portfolio, but I rarely see them ask for help getting better at design. Why is this a problem for design leaders?
An 8-part thread:
Some node states I designed for a data management workflow builder.
Ended up being one of those instances where the developers really knocked it outta the park with the implementation.
Successful design presentations depend on:
1. How well you tell the story
2. How well you convey the value
3. How well you position it in the larger product
4. How well you position it in the larger biz
5. How relevant your data is
6. How coherent the design is
A thread:
Joking aside, I have a shortlist of components that I usually tell startup and scaling dev teams to avoid building from scratch. This is pretty close to the top.
Others: Data grids, filtering, charting. Find a framework and use it.
The visualization category in my product design encyclopedia includes documentation for every feature and control you oughta consider when designing one.
