Everyone needs to see this. Hundreds of Israeli settlers are coming down from hilltops and setting entire Palestinian villages on fire. Full on pogroms.
@INDunderadespot This WC was marked by their sense of entitlement and arrogance. They played dirty, mean and unsportsmanly. See how they behaved off the pitch yesterday. Not just one or two players, even a coach was seen punching a Spanish player.
@INDunderadespot I've been an avid watcher and player for years. I still play in an adult league despite my creaky bones. So no, I'm not speaking from a place of ignorance. I grew up admiring Argentina, from the days of Kempes and Passerella to Maradona. Even in 22 I admired their game. But..
@INDunderadespot Orchestrated campaign? You mean the one that let Argentina get away through the whole tournament? Including that ridiculous foul call to disallow Spain's second goal? Come on!
@INDunderadespot Come on. Argentina played a shit game, and deserved to lose. Spain dominated the game and played clean. The behavior of the whining Argentinian squad after the match was even worse. Good they lost and are now seen for what they have been through the whole tournament.
⭕️ Palestinian composer Qassem al-Khawaja killed in Gaza City
Qassem Yousef al-Khawaja, a young Palestinian composer and music arranger, was killed Saturday evening at his workplace in an apartment in the Abu Hasira port area, west of Gaza City, his family said.
The family said in a statement published by Arabic news channels he was targeted by collaborators working for the Israeli occupation, calling it a premeditated operation and holding Israel responsible.
Gaza’s police said Sunday they had opened an investigation into the death of a 28-year-old man found killed with a sharp object west of Gaza City, without naming him.
Al-Khawaja had built a following rearranging songs using cooking pots and firewood from his family’s kitchen during the siege. “Music is also the sound of everyday life, even in the hardest circumstances,” he wrote.
@sanchezcastejon Honorable Prime Minister, the reason millions are with Spain is not just because of the beautiful football that the team brought to the championship which they so deservingly won. It is because under your leadership today Spain stands with Palestine, with Gaza.
🔵 Nearly 10,000 children in Gaza have contracted chickenpox as Israel’s blockade has left the Strip without the vaccine and deprived its health system of medicines and essential supplies, according to Dr. Ahmed Al-Fara, head of pediatrics at Nasser Medical Complex.
🔹A 2-year-old child died today from complications of the disease, Shehab News reported. Al-Fara said Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians into overcrowded shelters, alongside devastated sanitation, medicine shortages and collapsing healthcare, is accelerating the spread of infectious disease.
🔹Child malnutrition is also rising sharply, while anemia now affects 50–55% of pregnant women and the abortion rate has reached about 47%, he said.
🔹UN reporting has independently documented more than 9,000 chickenpox cases and the severe overcrowding and health-system breakdown driving the outbreak.
I'm proud to endorse my friend, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, as our next U.S. Senator from the State of Michigan. Abdul isn’t a career politician. He’s a public health leader who spent his life trying to heal people before he ever asked for their vote.
He believes healthcare is a human right. He believes working people deserve the dignity of a living wage. He believes corporations shouldn’t be able to buy our Democracy. At a time when too many politicians are asking what is politically safe, Abdul is asking what is morally right.
