Resident Evil
The best video game movie ever (bar is in hell). Really immersive and weaves in gameplay elements naturally. Visually gorgeous as well (love the winter setting) First half was consistently thrilling, second half and the ending a bit more hit or miss.

Primetime
Visually gorgeous, the maximalist presentation with vibrant colors really lend to this sense of hyperreality that matches the subject matter. Performances from Pattinson and Gisondo were amazing. Movie didn't go deep enough thematically imo, still enjoyed it

for the past hour or so i've been thinking a lot about how the person who posted the allegations against Jacob Geller did so without contacting the victim at all and then privated her twitter account, gross and undignified to dredge up someone else's wounds without her consent
'Refreshing' (as much as something can be in this context) to see Geller very openly admit guilt.
I do not feel comfortable financially supporting a rapist's content, so I'll stop engaging with his, but I'm mostly left saddened by how a woman's trauma was dug up for clout.
also I do feel that it's not right to really have a such a big platform, especially one that is attempting to be progressive, while also being a rapist and so I do think that he shouldn't just be entirely off the hook
The Jacob Geller stuff is so disappointing to hear, he was one of my favorite creators :( I know he's remorseful and hasn't done it again (as far as we know), but I can't watch his videos anymore in good conscious anymore
It's a complicated situation compared to other cases because he was punished (not enough) and seemingly resolved it with the victim + others are aware, but it's hard to really move forward supporting him despite him growing from it
