Everyone remember Brian - who felt he was aggrieved because people on his flight to Florida were in wheelchairs yet able to board plane without assistance?
Brian felt it appropriate to photograph them & complain to the airline.
What’s worse, the airline pandered to him. /1 🧵
“I’m not testing for Covid. If I’m sick I’m sick. What difference does it make?”
It makes a big difference. You SHOULD be testing. There’s things you should do differently if it’s Covid.
Governments & public health aren’t informing you - but that doesn’t change reality 🧵/1
Today, the Taliban passed a law that bans women from showing their faces and having their voices heard in public. Their burqas must now entirely cover their faces and they are not permitted to speak in public or to look at any males that are not relatives. Perhaps it’s been an emotional year, or maybe it’s because I’m triggered, but I once again cried when I heard the news. I’m still trying to piece myself together. Not even animals are treated with such cruelty, such dehumanization, such indignity, and such little value for human life. This is the entire erasure of the existence of women, and it cuts me to the core to know what Afghanistan and Iran were before this cancerous plague was brought to us. Where are the protests? Where is the outrage? Where is the ICJ? The ICC? Amnesty? Why doesn’t anybody care about the effective enslavement of millions of women under the jihadist system of gender apartheid?
@offgridteacher @SpaceCowboyinSL Hopefully you did not have insurance or other papers in glove box with your address on it- years ago police warned against this as car thefts were used to also get house addresses.
The 7-yr old & I have started a book club. We sit side by side & read books, talk about books, sometimes we have snacks, sometimes we lie in bed or curl up together. I hear little awws and giggles from her at times & it makes me happy because I am inevitably reading some sad heavy book

@casas_jimmy Too many mandates. Too many things added on. To the point where educators have no room left to be creative, innovate, and simply enjoy the people in their spaces. We need to simplify things, remove the minutiae and trust our professionals. Educators can be amazing if we let them.

@LieslMcconchie And sometimes against your wishes/understanding of what works you are told to implement reward based systems. I’m glad you and your child had such a positive conversation with the teacher. Proud of mom, child and teacher for being open to the conversation.
👥 Students who have #IEPs are not "special education students." They are simply students. They belong to every educator they have. Receiving a service shouldn't impose an identity. #LeadInclusion#EdLeaders#Teachers#UDL
