The Functional Genomics Laboratory at @THSTIFaridabad has successfully decoded the whole genome sequence of Staphylococcus xylosus, isolated from the blood of a neonate diagnosed with sepsis. The WGS analysis revealed multiple antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) like dfrC, norA, and mgrA, and stress-adaptive genes (arlR, mgrA). This highlights its potential for opportunistic infection and provides insights for public health and food safety.
