Not worth it. I’ve been using it for ~5 weeks. Never liked the idea of it, but decided to give it a try because many of my friends use it and they love it.
I don’t understand what’s the point of it at all. Maybe it’s useful for people who sleep bad or not fit, but for me personally I don’t see any benefits. Kinda cool to have all this information, but what am I supposed to do with it?
It also leaves burn marks on your skin. You can google, it’s a common thing. I don’t think it’s normal.
@alexcooldev Overall, I agree, but to replace what most SaaS products do, you don't need to build their entire product from 0. In most cases, you just need a specific feature, which is easy to build with Claude these days.
I think it's the first time I've maxed out my Claude subscription. Happened a few times with the 5x plan, though.
Never could understand how people manage to do it consistently, even with multiple subscriptions. But with Fable, it got much easier 😅
I speak Spanish fluently. Spent over 4 years in South America. My girlfriend speaks Spanish and that’s the only language we speak daily.
Every time I try to speak Spanish in Spain they instantly respond in English. Always. Not exaggerating. Sometimes I continue speaking Spanish and they keep responding in English.
Of course I have an accent, but I would say it’s that bad.
@nico_jeannen@Logitech I’ve been using mine since December last year and it still works well. Great mouse. Although it took me about 2-3 weeks to get used to it.
@jacobincambodia Watched this video a few days ago and was thinking about the longevity of these buildings. It doesn't look like somebody uses/maintains all those amenities, so probably a good deal when a building is brand new, but in 2-3 years it will get much worse.
Hmm.. I don't see the answer there. You help people get this residency, and based on those reviews, you're doing a great job, and your clients are happy.
But what do they do after that? Is there at least one real story when somebody got questioned about tax residency? Do tax authorities of Europe/Canada/UK/Australia really respect it and will let you pay 0% just because you traveled to Paraguay for 3 days and got residency?
Are there any real stories of how people use Paraguayan residency for tax optimization?
I mean, let's say somebody (a perpetual traveler who doesn't spend more than 3 months/year in 1 country) from Australia/France/Canada/any other 'real country' gets this residency. What's next?
Will they just stop paying taxes in their home country? Will Australian/French/Canadian/etc. tax authorities respect this residency? Just because you traveled once to Paraguay for 3 days and got some piece of paper?
Do people just get it and hope for the best? Are there any real cases when tax authorities actually checked it?
Your competitor flew to Paraguay for 3 days last quarter.
Few months later - temporary resident.
Added tax residency. 0% on every dollar earned outside Paraguay 🇵🇾.
You're still paying 30-40% wherever you are.
His passport timeline: permanent residency in 2 years, citizenship in 5.
Same income. Different taxes.
Comment 'PARAGUAY' and I'll send you the full breakdown.
@sobedominik Yeah, I noticed the same around 3-4 months ago. I think it's because our brains expect insane ROI instantly after we do so much, but in reality it barely changes anything, and it makes us feel unaccomplished.
I spent quite a lot of time in both regions. If I had to choose now I would choose Southeast Asia. And to be honest, it’s not even close.
And I disagree about softness. Many young westerners move to Thailand for Muay Thai. I met quite a lot of serious entrepreneurs in Bangkok and even Chiang Mai. Average guy in Bali looks like a fitness model. Many invest in real estate and build businesses in Bali too. You don’t see this in Latam. Most westerners go to Colombia/Argentina/Brazil/etc. in hopes to improve their dating life… sometimes I read tweets of Latam bros and it seems like for some of them being able to work remotely is already a huge achievement.
In the UAE (just as an example, but it’s the same in most countries) domestic transfers are instant. The fee is 0%. There is almost 0 risk of sending money to the wrong bank account and in case if something goes wrong bank will help you to resolve the issue. And you can use money on your bank account instantly without converting in any country in the world. So if I need to send money to my wife I see 0 reason to use crypto and bank transfers are much more convenient.
