Elvis Amoroso no se limita a ser un actor en el ámbito del poder; su accionar constituye una violación de los derechos humanos, por lo que debe rendir cuentas. El 28 de julio de 2024, desempeñó un papel central en el fraude electoral que privó a millones de ciudadanos venezolanos de su derecho fundamental a elegir libremente. The Venezuelan American citizen, US oil advisor linked to the return of foreign investment, Evanan Romero, was kidnapped on Saturday by the “the facto interim authorities of Venezuela. The Attorney General,Tarek William Saab, issued this official communication :
PUBLIC MINISTRY
COMMUNIQUÉ:
The Public Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela informs that on the past day of February 13, the citizen Evanan Romero Gutiérrez was detained at the La Chinita International Airport in Maracaibo. He had been wanted since May 26, 2025, for the crimes of fraud and criminal association or conspiracy.
It is necessary to clarify that said procedure has no relation whatsoever to oil-related matters nor to activities connected to that sector, as has been disseminated in various media spaces.
On February 17, 2026, the presentation hearing was held. Taking into account the age of the investigated citizen and in strict adherence to constitutional and procedural guarantees: the Public Ministry requested a substitutive precautionary measure consisting of a regime of periodic presentation to authorities . Said request was granted by the competent judicial body.
The Public Ministry expresses its permanent wishes in favor of the country’s dialogue process.
