Mostly here for Taemin, random news & occasionally design/real estate, wellness, philosophy, art, travel and whatever else catches my eye. Just passing through.
This isn’t about being for or against AI, or anything in between, it’s about privacy, consent, and ethical responsibility. There’s a fundamental difference between using privacy preserving AI and feeding personal conversations into platforms that may collect, retain, or use that data for training. You’re not just sharing your own information, you’re potentially helping build digital dossiers on people who never consented.
Just as we try to protect the privacy and trust of those closest to us in the physical world, shouldn’t we extend that same care and consideration to the digital world?
@adei0s I was supposed to go to this concert too. “Taemful” vacation, love it!!! I hope the Mexico concert will happen for you and the US tour soon rescheduled.
@benjaminakar One other consideration: depending on your email provider, it may be worth using their native app especially for privacy and security purposes and depending on how you use that email account and to avoid granting another third party access to your inbox.
Two that I use and think will be helpful based on what your issues are eM Client and Canary.
eM Client https://t.co/DWUTAZk6mW
Great for managing multiple accounts and organizing, offers a unified inbox, customizable folders, powerful rules/filters, account grouping, advanced search, and integrated calendars/tasks. They just released v11 that adds “AI summaries, drafting assistance, smarter organization, and encrypted syncing of account settings across devices.” Mac and iOS, with free and paid versions. The paid desktop version supports unlimited accounts and more advanced features.
Canary Mail https://t.co/u2Y9I0Rze2
If you like Apple Mail’s clean, minimalist interface but want more functionality, it supports unlimited accounts, a unified inbox, snooze/pin, cross device settings sync, and AI Copilot for summarizing, drafting, and searching emails. Mac and iOS, with free and paid plans; the AI features are paid. I have the paid version of both clients.
I think eM Client is better for complex organization (what I use on my desktop and laptop) and Canary for simplicity and a cleaner interface (what I use on my iPad).
As for syncing speed, you need to test both with your actual email providers.
Is it too late to vote?
On a more serious note, hate is such a strong word, and I don’t think God or Taemin would want us putting more hate into a world that unfortunately already has too much of it. There is room for faith and music in this world and always room for more kindness. 🩵
@editsc8 Idea, Press Your Number, Famous, Thirsty, Strings (I don’t think the song gets enough credit and his Metamorph performance was amazing!)
