@TraumaDocSF@UCSFSurgery@ZSFGCare I had one survivor in Philly, a police officer shot thru retrohepatic cava (Dr Kaplan remembers) and then 6 yrs ago with a ‘reverse’ from the abdominal IVC up to the chest, 24 yo GSW took off the right hep vein: both survived, both was an early maneuver not a last ditch effort.
