What a masterclass in economic fraud. 🤡
You compare India’s LPG prices with the US, Australia, and Canada, but conveniently forget to compare our Per Capita Incomes. A citizen in those nations earns 20-30 times more than an average Indian. Paying ₹942 for a cylinder hits an Indian household exponentially harder than a token amount hits a Western budget!
Let's look at the actual facts you are trying to hide:
1️⃣ The 127% Reality: In 2014 under UPA, a domestic cylinder cost ₹414. Today, your "affordable" price is ₹942. That is a brutal 127% increase directly breaking the back of the middle class and the poor.
2️⃣ The Ujjwala Illusion: You boast about Ujjwala beneficiaries paying ₹642, but stay silent on the fact that your government silently quietly capped the subsidy to just 4 refills a year. Millions of poor families have been forced back to toxic firewood because they cannot afford the remaining refills at market rates!
3️⃣ The Under-Recovery Myth: The ₹60,000 crore under-recovery shown in your own data spreadsheet isn't a "gift" to citizens; it is the direct consequence of your government completely destroying the structured fuel-subsidy ecosystem while raking in lakhs of crores through fuel taxes over the last decade.
Stop using the West Asia crisis as a convenient shield for domestic misgovernance. The public isn't buying this propaganda anymore. Answer for the ₹414 to ₹942 jump!
@amitmalviya PM Ujjwala Yojana scheme is for 4 cylinders you dumbfuck.
Why don't you compare the PCI and the standard of living in these countries too.
A month ago in india: “Petrol in Australia has doubled because of the war!”
Today: 159.5c/L (cheaper than before war)

Ethanol for cars is made from crops growing on subsidized fertilizer. The subsidy was for growing crops for food security. But now, tens of thousands of crores of subsidy will be subsumed into manufacturing ethanol. Don't tell me no one told you that before ...
