@ChrisWalkerCBC It does so much more damage to democracy than the surface level. Plenty of moderate Canadians would love to have a non-Liberal option. But the Conservatives seem hell-bent on being unelectable to moderates who aren't left enough for the NDP/Greens and are done with the Liberals.
I don't/won't have kids โ But childcare & early childhood education is THE most critical issue.
90% of brain development happens in the first 6 years of a child's life!
Kids become adults that change the worldโI want them to change it for the better.

FYI #Kelowna#ylw just got off the phone with Telus and there is an outage in the area. For sure internet (that's our issue) but I'm not sure if anything else is impacted. A tech should be on it soon, so hopefully it will be resolved soon/by tomorrow AM.
@erazmus I was on hold for a bit, but got the wrong number and was transferred. Also, I may have been the first to report it, so maybe I was ahead of the call influx? Fingers crossed we aren't down too long ๐
@erazmus @bmann05 @TELUSsupport FYI, got off the phone with Telus. It's an outage. A tech should be on it soon, so hopefully we will be up again by tomorrow morning at the latest.
I turn into an emotional toddler when it gets hot outside... Thankfully, my husband takes me on cultural excursions, which happen to be perfectly temperature controlled!

@ChrisWalkerCBC Gotcha. Thanks for the insight. I think one of the great tragedies is the way "impartial" has come to mean giving two sides or extremes equal weight and coverage. i.e. Protest A has 20k people and Protest B has 250 but get the same coverage. Trying to be unbiased creates bias.
@DanAlbas Perhaps a truly vibrant democracy requires the respectful compromise and collaboration of ideas, visions and values. All of the clashing is what holds us back. If all of you acknowledged when your colleague (not opponent) got it right, democracy would look better.
