I keep saying it that if there was a way all 200 million+ Nigerians can travel abroad and see how countries function over there, the infrastructure and everything they have… Nigeria will change within maximum of 1 year, our politicians won’t survive the wrath of Nigerians.
So when people visit these places, including Cross River they wonder why these beautiful places are abandoned or ignored by Nigerian state.
I’m here to tell you that it is not accidental, it is by design.
These places are part of Eastern Economy Corridor, any major investment towards bringing economic development here will compete with LAKAJI corridor, and they don’t want it.
After 1970 policy, the entire corridor was shutdown and continuously being neglected.
This is the hill I’m willing to die on!
A few months ago, the Governor of Edo announced with fanfare that the FGN had added Edo to the Coastal Road project.
This was a surprise because Edo is not on the coast of West Africa; Edo lies on the existing East-to-West road, which remains incomplete.
Today, Edo’s “express roads” are gridlocked. This congestion highlights how vital Edo is to the flow of commerce in Nigeria.
When you look at the types of cars, you see trucks carrying heavy containers, as there has been no railway connecting any part of the West to any part of the East since 1960.
It's a strategic error.
"It now takes 3 days to travel from Edo to Delta by road.
Two APC states from oil rich Niger Delta where oil money is being used to repay loans taken by Tinubu to award contracts to his friends running into Trillions of Naira"
- Tracy Ogor Eru Lillian
“Look at this bus transporting catfish. All the catfish have di€d inside the vehicle because of the gridlock.”💔🥲
—Passenger laments over the severe gridlock on the Agbor–Edo expressway, following the bad condition of the road.

Mr Toni Elumelu was one of the first to go congratulate Tinubu when he won in 2023, i wonder what truth you expect him to say that will not favour Tinubu.
obidi, who calls herself a feminist, encouraged women to do worse things to men or male child.
now, she’s pregnant herself, has had a baby shower and a gender reveal and it’s a boy, she’s currently happy she’s having a boy lol
again if you like, let these people deceive you
Do you know why Tony Elumelu is defending Tinubu?
Tinubu’s administration approved Seplat’s $1.28bn acquisition of ExxonMobil’s Nigerian assets in 2024, ending a regulatory deadlock that had lasted over two years.
Tony Elumelu is the ultimate beneficial owner of Seplat’s largest disclosed shareholder, Heirs Group.
He also became a non-executive director of Seplat in January 2026.
This is a deliberate sabotage of the Eastern Economy corridor (EEC).
Many of you will not understand this tweet.
But the Nigerian state is deliberate in their attempt to strangulate the EEC.
