2/ Here are Canadian ICU admissions throughout the pandemic.

The alpha wave was really a rough time. Fewer deaths, but ICUs were packed.

The ratio of ICU:hospitalized COVID cases (the "SDI") is an imperfect/crude method to measure wave impact.

*20.8 million 3rd doses (total population 38 mil)

I wasn't a big believer in the "one-size-fits-all/allo MSC panacea", especially in #stroke, which is such a tough indiction. @athersys tried to find a subgroup in which their therapy worked in P2 (36hrs). Now it is a younger population. Wonder what it'll be after ongoing P3 trial
