Most people think risk is something you take.
“I don’t like taking risks.”
But 20+ years as a poker pro taught me the opposite:
Risk isn’t something you take.
Risk is something you trade.
You trade certainty for upside.
Comfort for opportunity.
Volatility for growth.
The goal isn’t to avoid risk.
It’s to make sure the risk is priced correctly.
Because the same bet can be genius or reckless depending on the size, the upside, and whether you can survive being wrong.
That’s the part most people miss.
Taking risks isn’t the enemy.
Trading them incorrectly is.
