My article 'The spatiality of hope: mapping Canada's northwest energy frontier' has officially been published on @GlobalizationsJ! It is going to be part of a special issue called "Politics of Hope". Check it out! #energygeographies#affectivecartography https://t.co/bQpwZEibCO
Lithium-ion batteries & hydrogen electrolysers are ready for the BIG time. They have many things in common & are well suited to mass manufacturing.
Putting them in recovery plans can push their costs down & make them cornerstones of modern energy systems: https://t.co/t3zXj0es5P
The Borowitz Report: “Denmark would be interested in purchasing the United States in its entirety, with the exception of its government,” a spokesperson for the Danish government said. https://t.co/gMwzcWUHma
In my PhD thesis, I called this the petro-narrative of care and development: claiming you care for the environment, but that the only way to achieve a green future is through further oil and gas development, in the present. #TransMountainPipeline#Trudeau

Yesterday a racist politician anounced that he would come to harass at a Ramadan celebration in the Town Hall Square.
As a reponse, hundreds of citizens formed a chain of peace all the way around our moslem compatriots.
Thats how Copenhagen respons to racist harassment❤️❤️❤️
As an #Italian expat in Denmark I could choose whether I wanted to vote for 🇩🇰 or 🇮🇹 candidates for the #EUparliament. Although I'm often worried by #dkpol, I am much more scared by rising fascism in my home country. Please vote today!#VoteforEurope#europee2019#EUelections2019
"Thank you for coming to Denmark. We are truly so many people who are thankful for that."
Vigtige ord fra Sofie Carsten Nielsen @sofiecn. In times of growing hate and intolerance towards foreigners, it's good to know there are politicians supporting diversity 🙏 #inttalent2019
When this appeared in my feed, I couldn't resist and had to share it. Frank T'Seleie's speech is one of the most powerful examples of #indigenous mobilization and of claiming the right to self-determination. #MVP#North#pipeline#indigenouspolitics
@james_m_wilt @UAlbertaNorth Couldn't agree more. Made a discourse analysis of this speech in my PhD thesis too. Great example of the powerful and long-lasting impact of the 1970s indigenous mobilization in the NWT.
Today the Senate sent Bill C-262, the UN Declaration Act, to committee. It is now one important step closer to becoming law. This is a positive step for #FirstNations, for Canada and for reconciliation. #UNDRIP
I remember when I wrote my BA thesis on the international protection of indigenous peoples with the #Mapuche as my main case study. Sad to see they still have to fight for their land, but at least, this is good news.
ARGENTINA. I celebrate Judge Ravizzolli de Neuquén's decision absolving #mapuche community members Campo Maripe of the crime of usurpation. As the ruling states: "You cannot use the criminal law for a solution in a case in which there is a transgenerational interest"
Tomorrow, Ministers of the 8 #Arctic States, representatives from the #indigenous Permanent Participants and the Council's Working Groups will come together for the #ArcticMinisterial2019 - and you can follow live from 10:30 am (GMT+3).

Yesterday I was in #Everdrup where the compressor station of the #BalticPipe will be placed. The #pipeline is, among the other things, meant to reduce Poland's reliance on Russian #naturalgas. Concerns have though been raised i DK by locals + environmentalists (Klimabevælgelsen).
We have today endorsed the Baltic Pipe project.
The pipeline will connect Poland and Denmark with Norway, creating a new gas supply corridor in the European market.
