#OnThisDay 40 years ago Network Southeast was born. This great example of branding and bold corporate identity still has echoes around London and the South East if you know where to look 👀🔴🔵⚪️
We have the opportunity to give GBR it's own identity, and help the railway work better through functional design.
I'll cheerfully admit, my proposal isn't perfect, but it's a step in the correct direction - designed for the passenger.
Let's start Moving Britain, by design.
It has arrived!

Let me show you some highlights - 🧵👇
This is an improvement on the atrocious design they’ve gone with, but I fundamentally dislike the use of red, white and blue. It’s tacky to dress trains up as flags. Dark green is far better.
I can't help but feel like the government are deliberately holding off allowing EWR to start running so that they can make it look like Chiltern/Arriva are incompetent so then when Chiltern becomes part of GBR in a few months, they can then open it and claim it as their own win
@jf_9__@UKLabour Rather ironic considering the department for transport are responsible for ticket prices and yes agreed profit has been extracted but significant investment in routes like the chiltern mainline were a great initiative and if swt had staye double tracking of the woe line etc 1/2
@jf_9__@UKLabour Funny you should mention that care to explain how it was a failure
South west trains were not
Chiltern railways were not
Virgin trains west coast post 2003 were not
Although i will conceed that privatisation had its flaws but simply nationalisation will fix nothing if the 1/2
Nigel Farage didn't speak up in parliament for almost 10 WEEKS – but when he finally did, he used the death of Henry Nowak to stir division – DESPITE his family specifically calling on
people NOT to.
After successfully inciting riots across the country, Farage is spotted relaxing in a posh members' club.
That isn't a patriot; that's a traitor.
@LNER@225groupuk
Good morning
Just a quick question regarding the ic225 sets
When do you anticipate them returning to regular operations?
Especially since the temperature is due to be significantly more bearable in the coming weeks?
Many thanks
@jojoseph63@HarleysTravels@SW_Help I mean given the negative press the railway are getting it they really are in need of a win which could be accomplished by not injecting some plastic patriotism into our railways so many better ways to design a nation livery for trains see @DB_Bahn for example and france
