I was honoured to witness Chairman PBTE Dr. Faisal Mahmood sign a landmark MoU with SIAS UK, represented by Steve Smith Inaugural Chair of the UK Qualifications Alliance (UKQA) and Managing Director of SIAS, alongside Michael Dawe, former Managing Director of City & Guilds International. This partnership will strengthen the international recognition of PBTE qualifications, align Punjab’s TVET system with global standards, and expand overseas employment opportunities for our skilled youth.

The symposium underscored the importance of industry-driven skills, public-private collaboration, and globally competitive workforce development to prepare our youth for emerging opportunities in Medical Billing and the digital healthcare sector.

In line with Honourable Chief minister Punjab @MaryamNSharif vision for a skilled, empowered and prosperous Punjab, Chairperson, CM Punjab Task Force on Skills Development, Chaudhry Adnan Afzal Chattha, along with CEO Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), Ahmed Khan, participated in the World Youth Skills Day 2026 Roundtable.

The discussion focused on future labour market needs, industry-driven skills development, stronger public-private partnerships, and sustainable employment opportunities for Punjab's youth.

The Government of Punjab remains committed to equipping young people with market-relevant skills and creating pathways to meaningful employment through collaborative action.

In line with the vision of PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz to build a skilled, productive workforce and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif's @MaryamNSharif commitment to empowering youth through market-driven skills, Mr. Adnan Afzal Chattha, Chairperson, Chief Minister Punjab Task Force on Skill Development, met with Engr. Qamar ul Islam Raja, Chairman, National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) at the NAVTTC Headquarters Islamabad.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between federal and provincial institutions to advance Pakistan's skills development ecosystem, enhance youth employability, and align technical and vocational education with the evolving needs of industry. Discussions also emphasized expanding opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and future-ready skills that will enable young Pakistanis to compete in the global economy.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger institutional partnerships, promoting high-quality TVET, and implementing sustainable skills development initiatives that contribute to economic growth, job creation, and national prosperity.

Held a meeting to discuss new initiatives aimed at benefiting the youth of Punjab. The meeting explored the potential to deliver SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) training to equip young people with globally in-demand skills. The meeting was also attended by Secretary SDED Nadir Chattha, and CEO PSDF Ahmed Khan. In line with CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision, the focus remains on creating employment opportunities and building a self-reliant, skilled society, turning vision into action on the ground.

A significant milestone for Punjab’s skills ecosystem, under the vision of CM Maryam Nawaz @MaryamNSharif

At Basingstoke College of Technology, representing Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED), we signed an MoU with UK Qualifications Alliance (UKQA) and Certif-ID to strengthen international recognition of skills, and connect Punjab’s youth with emerging opportunities in global labour markets.

This partnership will support the development of globally benchmarked qualifications, enhance workforce mobility, and help ensure that the talent emerging from Punjab can compete and succeed in both domestic and international markets.

As Punjab continues its journey towards becoming a skills-driven economy, collaborations like these will play a vital role in connecting our skilled youth with the opportunities of the future.

پاکستان اسرائیل کے ہاتھوں فلسطینیوں کی نسل کشی کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتا ہے ۔ خود فیلڈ مارشل کھل کر ناصرف مذمت کرتے آئے ہیں بلکہ بطور افواج پاکستان کے سربراہ فلسطین کے حق میں اور اسرائیل کے خلاف ان کے آفیشل بیانات آن ریکارڈ ہیں ۔ اور یہ عام بات نہیں ہے ۔

جب ایک ایٹمی طاقت کی افواج کا سربراہ آفیشل لیول پر بیان دیتا ہے تو اس کی بات کا وزن اور اثر غیر معمولی ہوتا ہے ۔
