Vallic

Company specialising in Drupal and other Open Source technologies

Busy Wednesday: a round of Drupal contrib security releases.

Our daily drupal-update run opened the PR on its own. Required checks flagged one follow-up on our side, and it was handled before merge.

How to be ready for the next one:

Why we like MorphGate:
- a tunnel per host, not a VPN to the whole network
- pinned host keys, fingerprint-checked teams
- sync that only holds ciphertext, ours or yours
- Vallic Cloud environments as hosts

Open source at the core, built for business: https://t.co/p6rCoKEm5v

Built myself an SSH client months ago because I wanted self-hosted solution, with a sync. Spent the last few weeks making it real.

It's called MorphGate, it's open source. Full open spec.
VPN integration, cloud host import...
Check the github repo. #homelab #selfhosted

Resolved: every PHP site on Vallic, and our console, now runs the patched PHP releases (8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, 8.2.35) for CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. No action needed on your side.

Shopify will gladly sell your customers your competitor's products. All they care about is gross conversion count, not your customer loyalty.

When you own your platform, you own your customer relationships. That's the difference. Drupal Commerce protects your sovereignty.

For a while did think about moving to @ProtonMail for my business (small, three licenses). Had been probably more than 15 years on Google Workspace. But finally decide to move on. Migrated domains / DNS / accounts, and migrating now all the data. 🎉

This year decided to register trademark for @vallichr -VALLIC. Filled for EN/DE classifications 9, 42 and 45.

Then got dispute from @valantic_Com, and today is confirmed from EUIPO it is admissible because of UM 017210436.

The basis:

Similarity - Article 8(1)(b) EUTMR.

VALANTIC and VALLIC starts with VAL, and end with IC
There is similarity in both visual and phonetic terms.

This is just gate-keeping. Any software company starting with VAL and end with IC is a no go than.

Phonetically, I am not native speaker but those two terms are pronounced completely different.

We did it: 🇩🇪Germany will OPPOSE Chat Control! 🥳

Thanks everyone for writing to the ministers. 🫶

#ChatControl will not get a majority in the EU Council - at least for now.

[Centarro @CentarroHQ]

🥳 Closing out 2023 with our biggest release in a while! #Drupal Commerce 2.37 resolves 59 issues thanks to 40 contributors. 👏🏼

Even better: it introduces a new dashboard with navigation, sales reports, and a core inspired message feed for project updates. 👀

Happy new year! 💥

Minor upgrades for #Drupal just by running a single command (I know friends don't let friends curl 🙊) with Markdown output valid for Jira, etc... It is just a savior for teams that are usually behind.

Using the https://t.co/sPi8GCAGgX can save you time.

Think there is no easier way currently to write, perform load/stress testing, and visualize result data than this combo:
#k6 + #Grafana + #Prometheus.

It's unbeatable! Or prove me wrong :-D

Managed to find Raspberry Pi 4 module in stock at @rasppishop few days back , and today received it finally. Not sure if Haribo is a free Pi addon with each order 😁, but my kids like Raspberry Pi now even more!

This is one of best designs for fanless hardware which I saw and own now😍. It’s @opnsense appliance.

So simple but elegant. Now only need to see how it performs 😄

Design won my heart 😍
