DevRel, Doing cool stuff for devs. I don’t post on Twitter as much as I probably should. Views are my own.

[I D R I S @olanetsoft]

Following the Midnight Foundation's recent wind-down of its developer relations team, my time at Midnight has come to an end.

I built the developer education and AI developer tools, a dozen-video series explaining how ZKP and network implementation, a certification academy, and an MCP server downloaded 10,000+ times. Some of my favourite moments were the conversations, from fireside chats with builders to the hours spent alongside partner teams shipping on the network. Thank you to the team, the developer community, and every partner I worked with.

Before Midnight, I spent over two years at Axelar working hands-on with partner teams building cross-chain applications. I designed their integrations, reviewed their code, and wrote the reference implementation developers used to send messages between blockchains.

Before developer relations, I spent over four years as a backend engineer, building systems serving tens of thousands of users, data pipelines, and enterprise software for banks and telecoms. I also founded Web3 Afrika, a community of builders. That engineering background is what I bring to developer relations: I can sit with a team, read their code, and help them ship to production.

Now I'm looking for my next role in developer relations, forward-deployed engineering, developer experience, developer support, solutions engineering, or AI engineering. I'm based in UK with a UK Global Talent visa, so no sponsorship is needed in the UK, and I'm open to remote or hybrid. Available now.

If your team is hiring, or you know one that is, I'd love to hear from you. An intro or a repost would mean a lot.

Portfolio and CV in the reply, kindly help RT

We are living in a sad and way too long Black Mirror episode.

@evarodriguez_m You should visit Hungary :) We do the same 😂

The Hack Buenos Aires was full of new builders and familiar faces. 🇦🇷

Seeing developers build their first Midnight application alongside teams continuing to push the ecosystem forward is exactly what these hackathons are about.

Thank you to every builder, judge, mentor, and member of the Buenos Aires community who made this weekend special.

On to the next 👏

I love seeing builders from our community thrive. 💜

What started as a simple idea is now growing fast, and @Midnight_Skills is proving there's a real need for it.

Amazing work, @itsNikku876 and @Tushar_Pamnani_ 👏

One of the most rewarding things about building MidSkills is seeing developers turn ideas into real applications on @midnightntwrk.

Projects like ShadowVoice (anonymous student feedback platform) and CreditVeil were built using MidSkills as a learning and implementation resource. Instead of spending weeks piecing together documentation, examples, and community answers, builders were able to focus on what matters most solving real problems and shipping products.

Thanks to: @PriyalRaut17

That has always been the vision behind MidSkills:

Make Midnight accessible to every developer.

Not by replacing documentation, but by providing structured learning paths, practical examples, implementation guides, and reusable skills that help developers go from “Where do I start?” to “I just deployed my first Midnight app.”

We believe the future of ecosystem growth comes from lowering the barrier to entry. If a student, hackathon participant, or first-time Midnight developer can build a fully functional privacy-preserving application without starting from scratch, then we’re moving in the right direction.

Our end goal is simple:

🌙 Anyone should be able to learn, build, and ship on Midnight with confidence.

Huge thanks to everyone using @Midnight_Skills, sharing feedback, and building alongside us. We’d love to hear your experience and thoughts on how we can make the platform even better for the community. 💜

From PBA-X to PBA Bali 🌍 What starts online doesn’t have to stay online!

Meet Lucas from Argentina, Veronica from Azerbaijan and Juan from Spain. These three students began their journey with PBA-X, our online course and later took the next step by joining PBA Campus in Bali.

Through PBA-X, they gained a solid understanding of the fundamentals of blockchain, as well as an introduction to Polkadot, guided by the people who are building it. That foundation gave them the confidence to apply for the next step: joining PBA Campus in Bali.

🚀 In this video they share how PBA-X prepared them for this experience, the most valuable lessons they’ve carried forward, and how learning directly from the builders of Polkadot has transformed their journey!
