@flexghost1@freshwaterpurl Canada is, how do I say it, an actually functioning country.
The United States is a couple of steps away from being a 'Failed State With Walmarts'.
@Genetics56 If there were polls showing voters (Dems in this example) were strongly against the bill, they would notice, esp. in an election year. My guess is while many may think there are problems, most don't have a specific feeling about *this* bill (or don't know enough about it).
@Genetics56 If Congress really cared about "Olympic sports", they could subsidize individual college sports programs, make it easy/easier for Olympic federations to sanction and fund intercollegiate athletics (replacing the NCAA). Don't need to touch football or TV contracts to do that.
@ProFootballTalk Doesn't this let Rodgers make the Steelers' life difficult? He doesn't sign the tender now, cause PIT to name a new QB1 in camp, sign it just before week 1 (it won't be pulled since PIT wants to block other teams), get paid the full amount, and now there's a "QB controversy" .
@SamHerderFCS If the cabinet meeting that discussed this EO was held a few months ago, Doug Burgum probably raises his hand. Now, I'm guessing he just sits there. ๐
@ImmaculateView I doubt this one, but it's an interesting long-shot; Northern Arizona? Growing state, decent size school, de facto Pacific Time for most of the season, nice road trip for traveling alums.
@DomIzzoWDAY Also the possibility of a 13-game season every two years thanks to Hawaii, with either an extra game in Fargo or a road "guarantee ($$) game".
@Burrows2018@McFeely_Inforum Mountain West Network streams many (if not all) non-network games - every non-TV game I wanted to see last year was there. Watched on Roku and online.
@ImmaculateView Even if there was an informal "understanding" about not inviting FCS schools, I always thought they'd look the other way for the very top schools. NDSU doesn't seem like an invite that would upset Petitti or Sankey. Others, absolutely.
@Genetics56 Would B1G & SEC coaches and admins ever be told never publicly use the phrase "Power 2" so that they don't create a market where anti-trust laws might exist?
(Similar to how NASCAR defined themselves as 'Premier Stock Car Racing' and it bit them in their suit).
@CrossingBroad With Chicago's history of playoff failures, the #3 seed could easily be in line a second home game, possibly against the craptastic under-.500 NFC South champ.
@ProFootballTalk Another option if the Vikings are concerned he could be poached (and they still want him); extend him as DC and add a clause in the contract stating he automatically becomes HC if there's a future vacancy.
