@csaint02 @RagingLazerbull @ThePhunky1@rshorten@Polkadot Yea, you need costs, or some other truth-telling mechanism, so that the auction can suss out who values the slot the most. It’s pretty cool that they do this with locking rather than $ payments.

My contrarian view is that it’s not so much the UX as it is the lack of money-making or speculating opportunities for retail and degen users to gamble with so far (which is not a bad thing).
If everyone got $1,000 from learning .js, millions would do it asap. People do a lot harder things for a lot less. It’s just pushing buttons in a sequence – it doesn’t matter too much whether it’s QWERTY or ABCDE ... as long as there's enough benefit.
As more substantial use cases arise for crypto and NFTs in general, .js (and the DOT/KSM ecosystem) should do just fine. It's also the first one I learned and still my favorite, too. 😃

My first ever purchase of original, physical art!
"The Last Day of School" by @amber_vittoria.
Looks even more beautiful and powerful in physical.
+ Book, + Digital ("Memories of a Masterpiece"), too.
@kratist0s@eth_porsche It looks like it’s going to be customizable so it’d be interesting to compare vs RMRK’s tech, and yea, Polkadot would’ve been nice.
Two people walk into a Porsche dealer.
Salesperson: “This 🏎️ is a new model that came out just a few days ago.”
Normie: Nice, I’ll buy it.” 🤩
NFT degen: “Whaat, it’s not sold out? Lower the price, stop production, burn the rest!!” 🤬
