@newheightshow We told our kids the ice cream truck was the toy fairy. If they heard the music, they needed to hurry and pick up all their toys before the truck came and the toys were taken.
The school bus destroyed our well-built story that kept the toys picked up and cash in our wallet.

National Banned Books Week continues! We're reading censored literature to bring attention to perspectives that are being silenced. Today, @maggieanne5713,
@CDFTexas Youth Engagement Program & Policy Mgr., reads an excerpt from "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson. #FreedomToLearn
📚 We’re proud to raise awareness for #BannedBooksWeek with ATTACK OF THE BLACK RECTANGLES by @AS_King. This striking story about censorship, family, the power of words, & most importantly – standing up for the truth, no matter how hard is a must-read. https://t.co/3ussu9HRlq
Banned Books Week does a great job of bringing attention to this growing issue and the books by mostly marginalized authors that are targeted.
But we should discuss this issue for more than a week.
We should promote diverse books and marginalized authors for more than a week
It's #BannedBooksWeek! Book banning obstructs the right to read and publish freely and makes it harder for professional writers to earn a living.

#BannedBooksWeek is here! Our Honorary Chair, the inimitable @levarburton, is ready to take action - are you? Join us in supporting library workers, educators, authors, and readers everywhere on Let Freedom Read Day, October 7! #LetFreedomRead

"They're all about persevering and keeping a good attitude, and that's what I'm about."
Caleb Foarde, who has been diagnosed with cancer multiple times, had a wish to spend a day with the @BuffaloBills. A wish that the team turned into reality 🙌 @MakeAWish
I challenge you to find a classroom teacher who was working in 2019, worked all through the pandemic, and is still working today
Then tell them that "research says" their skills have taken a hit over the last four years
Just see how that conversation goes for you
