i've been working on this project i've named Pools.

a collection of seed based non-fungible unique generations from the @Zcash network.

everything is arboreal on Zcash so what if we called the equivalent of NFTs on the EVM "Rings," on the Zcash network?

instead of creating an inscription using ordinals, we could "cut" a ring. i love the vernacular, because a ring from a tree gives us the history and environmental record of the tree it was cut from.

back to Pools; since we're pre-consensus for proofs till ZSAs arrive, i've got a migration path from a registry enforced by on-chain actions. ZSA-testnet is messy, but it worked to confirm. will share more soon on this.

i'm gonna release this project pretty soon. here's a sample of the art generated from data found on-chain (yes, using extant data as the metadata). it loops seamlessly and you can export gifs or mp4s of it, as well as png stills.

output can be h.264 or full color profile av1, so understandably it looks like crap on x. the live output is actual runtime art, running on a fully custom render engine with zero rendering dependencies 🙏🏼

also, it will technically be the first zk generative art project on Zcash as far as i know. non shielded inputs don't get a zk proof, which makes it a cool hybrid.
