Looking crusty
But I swam in the atlantic ocean which was rather cold. Feeling refreshed. So glad I finally got a touch of sea in my hair after 3 months of not seeing the ocean😙

The journey shouldn't be planned. Planning leads to expectations, expectations lead to disappointments and disappointments leads to unhappiness. The less you expect, the more you appreciate.

Woke up in need of fresh air. Decided to take a little hike. Yes my eyes are sleepy. But it's amazing what a breath of nature can do to your soul. So far it has been the longest I have been away from salty air, and it is taking it's toll. But none the less beauty is everywhere!
I have been accused of taking land, which yes I don't even own. I have been accused of stealing freedom, which yes I wasn't even born. Get to know me and realise I am trying to change what I didn't even start. If our generation does not stand together there is no hope.
The very first thing I didn't like about #namibia was the fact that #plastic bags are handed out at the supermarkets and aren't even charged for. The most horrific is seeing 2 plastic bags being used for one 2l milk! Plastic is killing our earth. We need to be mindful.
The most amazing thing I have found is driving for 20 minutes out of the city into land filled with nothing. No human destruction and just purity. Air so clean, light so clear and just miles and miles of beauty.
This weekend I finally escaped the city and went on a little camp trip to Namibgrens. No signal, no electricity and skies filled with stars. What a beautiful experience. No tent needed. Just slept under the stars. #namibia
Meet Jovitha. She was my waitress at my museum visit in Windhoek. She mentioned about the local Kapana dish which I was keen to try. Headed off to Katatura and had a local experience. This is what life is about. Meeting people from all walks and experiencing the local culture.
Tomorrow marks the first day of my second week working as a biokineticist. And no longer as an intern biokineticist. The past 2 years have flown by! I never knew I would end up in the desert. But here I am. Namibia I am already enjoying the difference and all the new adventures!
