@hankgreen 300 billion to rebuild and comply is a lot. 200 schoolgirls is a lot. The shame of how it all played out is a lot. Everything about this presidency is a lot.
Side note: Why did Anthropic name their model Fable 5 when a new Fable videogame is about to release?
@rovvmut_ It's more for their stockholders. Omni isn't great for raw outputs (for video editing its pretty nifty though, tbh), but the new architecture is obviously a big step forward, and their next gen may be like the step from nano banana to NB pro. Remember NB gen 1 vs imagen.
@saintkamus@MattVidPro but can they do a video of a math equation, the #1 use for AI video?
in all seriousness, it might not be their mainline video model but more a nano banana type side project. Remember that Nano Banana was far worse than Imagen in sheer output quality at first.
@nuttteeee @movie_tvshows_ Would rather Amazon realize the importance of Invincible and how cheap animation generally is compared to live action, for a flagship, subscription-driving title, no less, and shell out some money to get more animators on-board.
@teortaxesTex I think it's Xiaomi. Hunter-Alpha and Healer-Alpha both released at the same time, and while Hunter-Alpha pretty consistently calls itself Claude, presumably built for agentic and coding use with a 1M context, Healer-Alpha consistently calls itself Xiaomi MiMo, with omnimodality.
@MattVidPro I would wait for the Pro version. It's basically a better replacement for Flash, but nothing will impress people who have already seen what Pro can do.
@DomeinicD@dave_kehr For stuff that was within the frame, it actually seems to have kept it pretty much intact, just colorizing it. But it also extended the frame to 16:9, and everything new is slop. Changing aspect ratios to 16:9 is one of my biggest peeves in media. Cropping shows was a huge trend.
