“by misdefining the nature of money, special interests have often been able to assume the control of society’s monetary system, and in turn, the society itself.”

I grew up a Republican. When that name meant something. This may shock you,.. but I am a believer in the power of free markets.
That said, more importantly, I believe in the CONSTITUTION….
I believe in the rule of law.
I believe in the separation of powers.
I believe in Federalism.
I believe in the protection of individual rights.
I believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I believe all men are created equal.
Our founding fathers lived under monarchy & feared tyranny. They deliberately designed slow, divided government so power could not accumulate easily and be corrupted and misappropriated.
I believe that liberty 🗽 dies in darkness. That a free press and activist and vocal citizenry is the key to avoid absolute power corrupting absolutely.
I believe, like our founders, that our republic would survive only if citizens stayed informed, participated, and held leaders accountable.
I do not belong to your tribe Nor the democrat tribe.
I have a higher calling.
I believe in the real America 🇺🇸, the America 🇺🇸 of our founding fathers.
i did say i was going max short after the fed cuts rates (im saying july fomc) but this rejection is all the proof i need to start building a bigger capital cushion.

how do you unite americans while simultaneously ensuring they’re united within your interests/against your enemies?
terror. domestic.
good news; that doesn’t come til things get worse and the division widens
bad news; things will get worse, and some form of terror/war is near
I have had plenty of interactions online and IRL where people get flat out hostile when I try to explain how difficult things are now. I am in a historically low cost of living area, and it now requires about $90K/yr to sustain a middle-class lifestyle. I found an 11 year old article from the local newspaper and it was $57K.
If you are a homeowner, things like HVAC have increased drastically in the past few years. I was recently quoted $6100 (cash price, other forms of payment higher) for a replacement furnace, and just five years ago another family member had their whole system replaced for $7K. Similar size house and unit. Got several other quotes from both large and small companies, all within a few hundred dollars.
Property taxes are up several hundred, due to both valuation and rate increases. All types of insurance up 30-50%.
If something catastrophic were to happen to my 10 year old vehicle, I could not afford to replace it with a like model. It's not just a couple thousand more, it's $15K.
Those people that get upset when I talk about this stuff? Well, the IRL people all make over $200K/yr, and have for many years. I think they have simply lost perspective. I've tried to get them to go through their budget and imagine they were making $60K, no takers yet.
