Sometimes I am amazed by the extent of the suffering and cruelty the Apostles and early Christians endured for the sake of Christ. St. Bartholomew, for instance, was said to have been flayed alive - his skin stripped from his body and then beheaded. The courage of their faith and the depth of their conviction were extraordinary.
With African parents, a lot of your problems can be traced back to the fact that youâre not married. Whether you agree or not is your personal problem đ
Let us pray together this prayer of St Patrick:
Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
You guys were crying some months ago that Catholics must allow you to eat communion when you go to mass because âWe are one body of Christâ
But today, we are idol worshippers. You want to eat idol worshippers communion? You want to be unequally yoked abi how una dey talk am?
Piss one place make e foam đđœ
For the sake of Catholics on X who are not really educated about the Catholic teaching on relics - especially the remains, bones, and skulls of saints preserved by the Church - Iâm making this post to explain the things we see online.
sometimes when Iâm sad about the world again, I remember that my parents met on a blind date and when my mom opened the door she said âis it you?â my dad said âif itâs you, then itâs meâ and they were engaged a month later.
so thatâs something
I was a staunch Catholic, but I left immediately I saw the light because the Catholic Church doesnât speak in tongues, there is no prophecy, they donât shout enough, they donât evangelize, they donât âpreach properly,â and they supposedly worship Mary.â
And now that you have left, you believe you have finally âseen the lightâ and escaped âdarkness?â
But I have a few questions:
1. When did speaking in tongues become the certificate for being a true Christian?
2. When did shouting during prayer become proof that the Holy Spirit is present?
3. When did prophecy become the standard for measuring a true preacher?
4. And when did praying the Rosary become worshipping Mary?
Catholic worship may be quiet, but quiet does not mean powerless. Reverence does not mean the absence of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not measured by volume, noise, or how dramatic our prayers look. Catholics are called to evangelize. Yes, we must preach Christ and live our faith. But Christianity is not a shouting competition.
We pray the Rosary, but we worship God alone. We honour Mary because Scripture calls her blessed; we do not replace Christ with her.
If you believe God called you out of the Catholic Church, I respect your decision. But please, you can tell people where you are going without insulting where you came from.
You donât have to call your past âdarknessâ simply because your present looks different. Different expression does not mean a different Christ.
At the end of the day, the question is not, âWho shouts the loudest?â
The question is: Are we truly following Christ?
Because Christianity is not a performance. It is a life of faith, obedience, love, and truth.
We worship God alone. We follow Christ. And we donât need to put down another Christian to prove that we have found the light.
Proudly Catholic.âđ»

I took a brief nap this morning, less than an hour, and within that short period, I had one of the most terrifying and dreadful dreams I have ever experienced.
This isnât a tech post, but I feel strongly that I shouldnât keep this to myself.
JESUS IS COMING SOON.
Whether that dream was simply a dream or a warning that God allowed me to experience, it has genuinely left me thinking deeply about my life, my relationship with God, and the things we place so much importance on.
We spend so much of our lives chasing money, success, careers, possessions and achievements. And while none of these things are inherently wrong, we should never become so consumed by them that we forget God.
So Iâm putting this out there:
Repent. Draw closer to God. Seek Him while you can.
If this message reaches even one person and makes them pause and reconsider their walk with God, then Iâm glad I shared it.
May God help us all.
Itâll really pain me if I donât end up marrying a CatholicâŠ.Like, after all this Catholic upbringingâŠ
OmoâŠI deserve to be doing Novena with my husband.
Iâd love a Yoruba podcast where the host recites or performs poetry or tells stories. Bitesized just like this - which is so beautiful btw. Lmk if that already exists?
Your Body Is Speaking. Listen.
Yesterday, I was speaking with a priest brother, and he shared something that stayed with me.
He told me he had been struggling with persistent headaches and constant fatigue. His first instinct, like many of us, was to reach for a paracetamol, painkillers or something to keep him going. But after taking time to rest properly, he realized the headaches disappeared and his energy returned.
He told me that at that instant, he discovered that what his body was asking for was not medication or stimulation, but rest - proper rest.
That conversation made me reflect on how often we ignore what our bodies are trying to tell us.
Not every headache requires a tablet. Not every tired day calls for an energy drink. Not every sleepless night can be fixed with another cup of coffee.
We often treat warning signs as inconveniences to suppress instead of messages to understand. Sometimes, fatigue, mental fog, irritability, and poor concentration are not signs that we should push harder, they are signs that we should slow down.
We live in a culture that celebrates constant productivity, so we often treat rest as a luxury rather than a necessity. Yet our bodies were not designed to run endlessly without pause.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is to rest.
Listen to your body before it forces you to.
Of course, persistent or severe symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare professional rather than assumed to be due to fatigue alone.
But the most important thing is that we should listen to the language that our bodies speak to us.
this kinda hit even harder when u grew up and realizing that adults were unnecessarily mean to u as a child when i was just like wow i couldnt even tell my younger self that!
Did Jesus mean it literally when He said, "Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you"?
Let us use John 6 to prove the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist
