A textbook tells you facts. A comic lets you sit inside someone else's story and recognize your own. A Nena na Binti chose the harder, more honest path. #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026
Treating obstetric fistula – a childbirth injury – is about more than health and dignity. It's a smart decision.
When a woman gets well, she can work to support her family, while fixing the problem saves future medical costs.

Access to maternal healthcare is not a privilege—it is a right. The Government of Kenya’s commitment to expanding free maternity services for adolescent mothers is a timely step towards ensuring that no young mother is denied care because of financial barriers. As Africa continues to address the challenges of adolescent pregnancy and maternal health, investments in youth-responsive healthcare systems remain critical.
This conversation echoed throughout the 9th RHNK Pan-African Adolescent & Youth SRHR Scientific Conference 2026, where delegates from across the continent emphasized the need for sustainable financing, equitable access to services, and policies that place adolescents and young people at the center of health and development agendas.

One of my favourite moments from the #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026 was the launch of the @NenaNaBinti Comic Series. Such a great reminder that reaching young people means meeting them where they are.Storytelling & creativity really do make SRHR conversations more engaging & real.
Sunday the energy was there!!! The youth caravan made stops along the way to Mombasa, condoms and correct SRHR information were disseminated.

The D-day is here!! People arriving from all over the world, over 40 countries gathered in one room where the future of young people will be shaped and policies reformed !!!
As part of our commitment to strengthening evidence‑informed advocacy for AYSRHR in Kenya, we partnered with @Afidep to deliver a capacity‑building training for youth advocates and champions. Through targeted capacity building, youth advocates are gaining the skills to influence policy, financing and accountability and shape SRHR outcomes nationally and regionally.
