@soft In one of my groups we would meet up in Discord for live video of each other while we danced in a club. It was SO very cool and more intimate than general club chat.

@soft Many groups, and SL in general, have seemed to adopt discord. I was introduced to it a couple years ago. I mainly identified it with gaming—kind of like a text twitch. But it works really well for connecting outside the grid as groups or individuals.

@RockyRoark 1st time I’m seeing either. Graphically I think both or great. I’m an illustrator/designer so I tend to lean more to the 2nd. However from a design POV, the 1st is cleaner and more opaque. Emotionally the 1st looks happier unthreatening while the second looks like big brother,

@stephanixmedina It’s not much of a surprise. She is historically fiscally conservative and people progressive. Its hard to be politically moderate in party polarized Washington. She’s not changing who she was when elected, she is changing a label. Her votes in the senate will be the same.

@epicashleyftw Dealing with the public is kind of the exact opposite what we creatives are geared for. We are all pretending to be fully functioning adults while in our heads we are sitting in our high school cafeteria, doodling in a sketchbook, pretending to be invisible.

@epicashleyftw I used to write down the most common questions and practiced answering them in my head or in a bathroom mirror until I could answer them with full confidence. The full confidence is the most important. People asked these questions to be reassured.
