J Jayalalithaa ruled Tamil Nadu for nearly 15 years and left behind a massive political legacy. What’s truly unfortunate is that she could not identify or nurture a clear successor to carry the party forward.(#OPS was more of a temp fill only).

Since her demise, #ADMK has remained in the news more for internal power struggles and factional issues than for strong opposition politics.

This is the risk when a party becomes centered entirely around a single cult figure rather than a strong ideological structure. Meanwhile, the anti- #DMK political space now has competition from #TVK, which has started benefiting from this vacuum.

At the same time, #TVK too currently revolves heavily around the cult personality of #Vijay. It may be too early to judge, but #AIADMK’s trajectory should serve as an important lesson on why strong second-line leadership and organisational depth matter.

The road ahead looks very difficult for AIADMK. But if the party manages to rebuild itself into a respectable force again by 2029, it would reflect serious political rediscovery and organisational revival.

Things look very difficult for #EPS to sail through this phase.! Testing times for ADMK.
