When I first met him, out of awe and awkwardness I fiddled with my hair. He slapped my hand away and said 'hero ki tarah Baal mat bana...tu actor hai'!
He didn't flatter you. He didn't tell you what you wanted to hear. He told you what you needed to hear. That was Nana. Straightforward. Rough, honest and had the most beautiful smile.

My son is also studying at UPES, and as a parent, this video is deeply disturbing and worrying for me.

I have a simple question for @UPES_Dehradun:

Is this acceptable in the name of ragging?

The student is repeatedly saying that he is fasting for Ekadashi and that his mother asked him to keep the fast, yet he is allegedly being slapped, abused and humiliated by other students.

If this video is genuine, why is UPES keeping silent on such a serious matter?

Parents send their children to universities trusting the institution with their safety, dignity and well-being. We send them to study—not to be beaten, abused or humiliated in the name of ragging.

This is not just about one student. It is a deeply tragic and frightening moment for every parent whose child is studying away from home.

UPES, parents deserve answers.

What action has been taken?
Has an investigation been initiated?
Are the students responsible being identified and held accountable?

Silence is not the answer.

This is Sani Krishna, a 32 year old Bengaluru interior designer, booked a Rapido bike on June 17.

- Rider allegedly tried to overtake a tractor.
- The bike lost balance
- Krishna fell on the road and was run over by the tractor.
- She suffered 7 fractured ribs
- Emergency surgery to remove her spleen
- Underwent facial plastic surgery
- Medical expenses crossed ₹20 lakh.

She sent a legal notice demanding that Rapido take 100% responsibility and cover all past and future medical bills.

Rapido says it is in touch with her family and has offered insurance coverage of ₹1 lakh.

₹20 lakh is a huge amount. They may end up in debt. Rapido should cover all the expenses without any excuses.
