car was parked on the pedestrian path and the guy standing there is the driver, refused to move despite me and an old lady asked him to, said he is ok with police complaint.

There are two cars parked without any gap.

People were forced to walk on the road.

These things wont come to ur mind, but u r worried about a car owner getting a challan.

There are parking slots on either side of the road.

you know what , the Thyagaraya road is split into two and the other side of the road comes under R1 mambalam police station's jurisdiction

The police in ps gave me a number to inform R1 ps, I instead posted in SM.

There is a Malaysian restaurant in Pondy Bazaar which encourages cars to be parked on the pavement despite the inconvenience caused & inspite of bollards being installed. Have brought this to the notice of both @chennaicorp as well as the @chennaipolice_ but to no avail. I do also have to point out this is a school zone.

Request the authorities to take immediate action regarding parking of vehicles on the footpath. Quite a shame that violation of such basic etiquette regarding public space has to be brought out on social media.
