Never before did we see such strong action BMC officers actually getting suspended. BJP has backed real accountability against negligence, something rarely visible earlier. Kudos to @AmeetSatam for staying on the ground despite constant political potshots.
There's a version of this scheme that is easy to summarise in numbers. 1 crore students. 12 lakh staff. 10 lakh contractual workers. Rs 5 lakh health cover. Rs 1 crore insurance. Rs 1,200 per child.
But the more important version is what those numbers mean to specific people.
It means a primary school teacher in Ballia who has been postponing her mother's knee surgery for two years because of the cost can now go to an empanelled hospital and get it done without paying first. It means a PM Poshan cook in Gorakhpur who feeds 200 children every morning now has her own health safety net for the first time. It means a family in Bahraich whose son has been going to school without a proper bag for three years will have Rs 1,200 arrive in the mother's account before the next term starts.
The niyat was to make those individual realities possible at scale. The niti built the institutional infrastructure to deliver them. That gap between a policy announcement and a life actually changed is where this scheme is trying to operate.

Operation Tiger
The Myth Vs Reality
Operation Tiger happened. The so-called тАЬtigersтАЭ were moved to a new habitat. The owner of the new habitat was delighted, and so was the ownerтАЩs son. From Delhi to Mumbai, everyone from an alleged arms dealer to the employees of this new establishment officially congratulated the owner and his son on the successful operation. They posed for photographs together and proudly shared them across social media.
And that is precisely when the digital ecosystem began buzzing with fresh theories.
A new narrative suddenly emerged, crediting @Dev_Fadnavis for the entire operation. Alongside it came another claim that Sharad Pawar was likely to align with the NDA, that his daughter would receive a ministerial berth at the Centre, and that similar political arrangements were being worked out in Maharashtra.
Interestingly, this narrative was amplified by a section of media and digital commentators who are otherwise known for claiming to know Sharad PawarтАЩs every political move well in advance.
The obvious question is: Why? Why push this narrative?
The answer is simple. Since 2014, Devendra Fadnavis has remained a persistent political challenge for many of his opponents, including Sharad Pawar. Despite repeated attempts over the years, that challenge has not disappeared.
If the so-called tigers have shifted to a different habitat and not to the BJP, then why is the political credit or blame being directed towards Devendra Fadnavis instead of the owner of the new habitat?
The second narrative that Sharad Pawar is moving closer to the NDA is also politically significant. It indirectly conveys the message that Sharad Pawar holds the key to Devendra FadnavisтАЩs political future, or even the ability to bring it to an end.
The Reality
From my perspective, Sharad PawarтАЩs political focus initially revolved around Devendra Fadnavis and later also shifted towards Ajit Pawar. After the split in the NCP, Sharad PawarтАЩs political options appear more limited than before.
Today, Sunetra PawarтАЩs faction holds significant influence within the NCP. Against this backdrop, narratives suggesting that Sharad Pawar may align with the NDA, or that Supriya Sule and others close to him could receive ministerial positions at the Centre or in Maharashtra, continue to circulate widely across sections of the regional media and digital ecosystem.
In my view, some political commentators and digital influencers amplify such narratives because they generate attention and engagement. Whether these claims are rooted in political reality or are simply part of perception-building remains to be seen.
At the same time, these narratives also serve another purpose. They encourage political actors in Maharashtra who are uncomfortable with the prospect of Devendra Fadnavis returning as Chief Minister to believe that an alternative power arrangement is taking shape. Since Sharad Pawar himself has not projected a chief ministerial face, the resulting political speculation leaves room for multiple aspirants to see an opportunity.
In politics, perception often travels faster than reality. Whether these narratives ultimately translate into political outcomes is something only time will determine.
Recognition as one of India's Top 5 Best Companies to Work For carries more meaning when it's backed by consistent action. Flipkart's focus on learning, internal mobility and employee wellbeing has helped shape that culture, while its continued commitment to employee ownership reinforces it. One of India's largest internet companies, continuing to offer employees meaningful ESOPs underscores the belief that those building the business should also benefit from its growth.
Clean transportation systems, technology-based vehicle testing, and large-scale efforts to increase greenery are playing an important role in making Delhi pollution-free and healthier for its citizens.
This is a strong foundation for the capital of the future.
