The cold blooded murder of over 400 innocent civilians including 130 children by the Israeli government, shows that humanity means nothing to them.

Their actions reflect an inherent weakness and inability to face their own truth.

Whether western powers choose to recognise this or to acknowledge their collusion in the genocide of the Palesitinian people or not, all citizens of the world who have a conscience (including many Israelis), see it.

The more criminally the Israeli government acts, the more they reveal themselves for the cowards they truly are.

On the other hand, the bravery of the Palestinian people prevails. They have endured unimaginable suffering yet their spirit remains resilient and unwavering.

THIS IS A SHOCKER. REGIONALLY —LOSS DUE TO RESERVATIONS MUCH HIGHER THAN ANTICIPATED

I had posed some questions pertaining to reservations. And these questions were mostly focused on regional disparities across all categories.

I will summarise it here and will also be addressing a press conference.

Kashmir as region is far far behind. The net loss of quotas to Kashmiri speaking population is of a much higher scale than we had thought.

The whole reservation concept is rigged against the Kashmiri speaking population and against ST or EWS living in Kashmir.

Even the ST population living in Kashmir is a net loser. They make up a meagre 15% of the total applicants from the ST pool.

RBA is almost same but when you adjust for population, against it is less. Kashmir population is approximately 7% more. And areas under RBA are almost same proportionately. Yet in number terms they are behind Jammu

And lastly the Committe set up by government on 10/12/2024 to examine grievances has no specific timeline for submitting report. We were told it is 6 months timeline.

J&K is staring at a water crisis this year. It’s not a recent phenomenon, actually it’s been building up for a few years now. While the government will have to adopt a more proactive approach for water management & conservation, it can’t just be a government centric approach. All of us residents of J&K will have to change the way we take water for granted. I’ll be reviewing the measures the Jal Shakti (PHE) Dept intends to take to deal with the developing crisis & I’ll also be talking to the people of J&K over the next few months about what we can do collectively.

Yet another case of academic negligence has surfaced. Toiba Yaqoob, a Class 10 student of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khanyar, has received a roll number slip with the wrong name—Toiba Fayaz, a Class 9 student. (2/1)
