@inthestarsuk@AMAZlNGNATURE The black squirrels are grey squirrels with a mutant gene. In my area, they were brought in for a children's zoo in 1948, but didn't do well in a cage, so they were released into the park and spread from there.
@inthestarsuk@AMAZlNGNATURE The same in much of the US - at least on the East Coast. The greys outbred the reds. We also have local black squirrels, but the are interbreeding with the greys. In order to get a pure black litter, both parents must carry the gene, so they, too, are disappearing.
@CigsMake Art and design are indicators of the state of civilization. The decline of art began in the 1930s. It has now been reduced to its absolute minimum. The cold, harshness of the modern mind has taken hold. Color and richness are things of the past.
@Rainmaker1973 Side shows gave many people the ability to earn a good living, buy homes and send their children to college. Many of those same people, today, would be living isolated lives on meager social security checks. Gibsonton is home to many carnival people and many 'freaks' retired there
@CigsMake I was a bartender in the 80s/90s. Customers used to save me their Camel Cash. One thing I got was a henley shirt, made in America. I wore it for 20 years. Their merch was top quality. So was Marlboro's, which I also collected.
@Rainmaker1973 This is X. People throw up semi truths. I'd like to know how addicts, picking up trash can now afford to rent when regular people working 40 hours can't. I suspect a half dozen people getting hired by the city parks department and some found an room to rent is the real story.

@Rainmaker1973 Yup, everything in our natural make up has a purpose. Bypassing natural instincts has consequences. Who knows what long range effect this has
