Instigated by the Turkish government, the 6-7 September 1955 Istanbul Pogrom¹, directed primarily at Istanbul's Greek minority, aimed to "cleanse" the city from non-Turkish "elements". Armenians, Jews and Syriacs were also harmed.
Well planned and masterfully carried out, the Turkish mob destroyed or vandalized 73 churches, 41 schools, over 4,000 homes, over 1,000 businesses, the offices and printing presses of eight newspapers.
The Turks killed 37 Greeks, injured over 1,000, and raped dozens of Greek women and boys, estimated about 400. They profaned Greek Orthodox religious vessels, smashed and dug up the graves in Greek cemeteries, throwing out the bones and remains of the dead. They even effected public circumcisions on elderly priests.
The Turkish governments then and today continue to lie through their teeth. "The Greeks, the Armenians, the Jews and the Syriacs, Turkey's non-muslim minorities, were never persecuted in Turkey", they claim, "they assimilated,". Sure, the handful remaining after the rest were exterminated, they assimilated.
Note that up until 1950 the Greek population of Istanbul was over 30%, today it is about 0.02%. A relevant report by @hrw: "Denying Human Rights and Ethnic Identity: The Greeks of Turkey"

¹ The 6–7 September 1955 Istanbul Pogrom was directly connected to Cyprus, then a British colony. The Turkish government instigated the pogrom as a political tool and pressure point in ongoing negotiations over Cyprus.

Kurdish journalist @SuzanQuitaz , who worked inside Qatari media for years, went on @JNS_org to speak about what she says happened behind the scenes and to expose how the anti-Israel narrative is actually manufactured.
Among the many subjects she discussed, one of the most important and rarely know is the Al Jazeera Media Institute, or, as @FleurHassanN called it, the Goebbels School of “Journalism.”
Opened in 2006, the institute has trained more than 75,000 journalists. In celebrating Al Jazeera’s 25th anniversary, the network highlighted the Media Institute as one of the things it was most proud of, saying it “carried the spirit of Al Jazeera to the world.”
On September 6 and 7, 1955, a pogrom was carried out against the Greek community of Constantinople. Armenians, Assyrians, and other non-Muslims were targeted too. Homes and businesses were looted and burned. Churches and cemeteries were desecrated. People were beaten, injured, and killed.
Turkish writer Aziz Nesin later wrote that priests were among those forcibly circumcised during the violence. An Armenian priest is reported to have died as a result.
Communities that had lived in that city for centuries were broken in two nights.

And who do they blame?
Not Islam.
Not their leadership.
Not themselves.
They blame the countries where they’re happy!
And then they want to change those countries to resemble the ones they came from, where they were unhappy."
Qatar: Journalist who blew the whistle on slavery and human trafficking gets five-year prison sentence
Slavery is acceptable in Islam. The Qur’an has Allah telling Muhammad that he has given him girls as sex slaves: “Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty.” (Qur’an 33:50)

Turkey, has turned Europe’s Aegean border into a heavily armed military front directly opposite populated European islands.
Turkey disputes the EU’s maritime borders, rejects Greece’s lawful sovereign rights under threat of war (casus belli), openly threatens to invade Greek territory and, not long ago, threatened Greece with missile strikes.
It publishes revisionist maps claiming sovereign Greek islands and waters, refuses to recognise Greek airspace, repeatedly violates it through overflights, and regularly publicises military drills rehearsing landing troops on islands-yet demands that Greece removes the defensive weapons protecting those very islands.
❌ These are not the actions of a strategic partner, but of a state that poses a direct threat to regional and European security-a threat that must be contained.
I’ve got no problem with Islam. I’m just against beheading, stoning, marrying little girls, sexual slavery, taqiyya, slave trading, rape, forced conversions, jihad, burqa, attacking other religions, child abuse, women abuse, animal abuse, multiple wives, murder, Sharia, terrorism, brainwashing, intolerance, greed, anti-science, torture, illiteracy, gluttony, genital mutilation, inbreeding. Does that make me Islamophobic?
Christians are being massacred, and their women kidnapped, raped, and forcibly converted to Islam daily in Nigeria.
This past year, more Christians have been killed in Nigeria than Palestinians in Gaza.
And still, not a single protest for them!
The Constantinople/Istanbul pogrom on September 6–7, 1955 was a state-orchestrated mob attack against the Greek minority in the city, resulting in severe loss of life, sexual violence, and vast property destruction.
Greek homes, businesses, shops, schools, factories, newspaper offices, churches, and cemeteries were vandalized, plundered or destroyed.
The extreme violence caused the vast majority of Istanbul's remaining 100,000-strong Greek minority to flee and emigrate from Turkey in the following years.
Dr. Harry G. Dimopoulos is a native of Constantinople and a survivor of the Pogrom of September 6–7, 1955.
Harry was only 15 years old when he and his family experienced those terrifying events.
Tomorrow, he will participate in the panel discussion, “Before and After the Istanbul Pogrom of September 6–7, 1955: The Destruction of the Hellenic (Rum) Community of Turkey.”
Please join him on Sunday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. EST / 9 p.m. EEST (Athens), as Harry shares his personal testimony and helps preserve the memory of Constantinople’s historic Greek community.

To all Turkish trolls who think they know treaty law and geography. Take it from your own people.
Here’s Turkey as mapped in 1927, just four years after Lausanne—courtesy of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Library.
Do you see the line?
Also Muslims persecute other Muslims who do not follow the correct teachings and rules. Generally Muslims persecute anything that moves and destroy the monuments that can't move.

Yes. Israel destroyed large parts of Yohmor.
Here’s the part Sarah left out.
For years, the IDF documented Hezbollah using Yohmor as a military sector:
• a launch site and arms depot
• Hezbollah observation operatives
• weapons transfers
• underground facilities and tunnel shafts
• a military command center operating from inside a civilian structure
• a named Hezbollah “Yohmor Outpost”
• an engineering command structure for the Yohmor sector
And right beside it, at Beaufort Ridge, the IDF uncovered a massive multi-level Hezbollah tunnel complex built over roughly two decades, with weapons stores, firing positions, command facilities and space for hundreds of fighters.
Hezbollah didn’t merely “operate near” Yohmor.
It turned the area into military infrastructure.
So yes, Israel destroyed it.
If you militarize a village, build tunnels under it, store weapons in it, run command centers from it and use the surrounding terrain to attack our citizens, then yes, eventually we are going to treat that place like the military position you turned it into.
That’s what we call FAFO.
Them: “Israel bombs hospitals. Geneva Conventions. War crimes. Hamas never uses hospitals.”
European Hospital, Khan Yunis👇🏼
Shaft next to the emergency entrance. Finished tunnel. Beds. Wiring. Rifle on the wall.
Hamas putting a command node under a hospital is the war crime. Pretending the footage doesn’t exist is the lie.
Muslim Turks, under the commands of Mustafa Kemal, sold the bones of the murdered Greeks and Armenians.
After the genocide and expulsion of the Greeks from Asia Minor, ships loaded with the remains of Greeks and Armenians sailed on their way to Western Europe.
Turkey sold the bones of the dead. Industries used them to bleach sugar and tobacco. They ground them into fertilizer.
At least 400 tons. More than 50,000 dead.
Thousands of men, women, and children fell into the hands of the Kemalist army and the irregulars. Women were raped in groups. Men were tortured without limit.
Entire villages that stayed behind, hoping their Turkish neighbors would show mercy, were executed.
The hostages were driven on death marches across thousands of kilometers. Barefoot. Nearly naked. Beaten by villagers along the way. Many died of thirst in the ravines of Magnesia. Those ravines supplied the bones Kemal later sold.
The survivors were sent to labor battalions. They rebuilt the infrastructure of the new Turkish state under conditions designed to finish them.
After Lausanne, 1.5 million refugees arrived in Greece searching for relatives who never came home.
This is not ancient history. This is the century that produced us.
They want us to forget.
They want the bones to remain fertilizer and the names to remain numbers.
We do not forget.
We never forget the Genocide of the Greeks of Pontus & Asia Minor by the Muslim Turks. The genocide was orchestrated by Mustafa Kemal & the Young Turks, & it was racially and religiously motivated in order to create their pseudo-nation 100 years ago. They butchered, tortured, raped, burnt and starved to death through the death marches millions of Greeks, Armenians and Assyrians.
The true barbarian is the one who turns the dead into raw material and then lectures the living about civilization.
