'What's coming out here is real frustration, real anger that politicians are not listening'.
@beattie2_dougie reports from Belfast as protests kick off across the city, following the knife attack carried out by a Sudanese asylum seeker last night.
The Left is heading for the nastiest shock it has faced in a generation. They have been able to hold the whip hand over the Right for decades, which is why the Tories governed like Tony Blair.
They have achieved this through legal structures and micro-cultures that have allowed them to police language and spread toxic ideas. But now that is all unravelling. It is coming to an end. And right-wingers, who have been kept in line with accusations of bigotry and threats of character assassination, have stopped listening.
The Right now has its own online ecosystems and no longer fear left-wing institutions. This will spill over into mass protest movements, which have historically been the Left’s bread and butter.
Interesting times.
Well done to @Fox_Claire for echoing the voices of the unheard masses on the subject of the brutality seen on the streets of Belfast today.
The British state is absolutely part of the problem. It could so easily be part of the solution, however it seems paralysed into acting on its first principle.
"Look over there. Another bad thing is happening."
I'm sorry, but I just don't think these arguments work anymore. Twenty years ago, maybe. But no longer. We are experiencing massive state failure in the area of asylum and immigration, and it is having real-world consequences on our streets. Dusting off the old slogans - "Diversity is our strength", "Don't look back in anger", "We won't let them divide us" etc - is a dead end. The public mood has shifted dramatically. People need to realise it.
Pour les journalistes du Parisien, l’info, ce n’est pas l’égorgement commis à Belfast par un migrant soudanais passé par Paris, mais la manifestation d’"extrême droite".

It is right and proper for people in Belfast to protest. When the establishment repeatedly and habitually fails, the people have no option.
But will @Keir_Starmer take note?
No chance. He’d rather take the knee than enforce borders.
He will condemn the protesters and keep going with open borders.
Nobody can explain how mass migration from the third world has benefited the west. Even the advocates of these policies cannot explain its benefits. That's because there is no benefit and they know it. Death, dysfunction, and horrors beyond comprehension. That's all it brings us
'Nobody is prepared to do anything about it!'
Former Editor of The Sun, Kelvin MacKenzie, airs his 'intense frustration' with the violent illegal migrants being allowed to roam British streets.
"This is amongst the worst things I've ever seen - we're at the beheading in the street stage of the multiculturalism project!"
@KiszelyPhilip says the Belfast stabbing is another example of UK culture being under attack.
@TVKev
Some 90.4% of Essex is white Britons.
Yet Essex police describe we, their white citizens, as a “non-protected group”.
Remind me, what do we pay our taxes for?
Two-tier policing is no longer arguable.
Today, we woke to the sickening scenes of a Sudanese man attempting to behead another man on the streets of Belfast.
In the aftermath, we’ve seen the all-too-familiar damage-control operation from the authorities.
People are being urged not to share the footage or comment on the incident because it may cause division, distress the family, or fuel the “far right”.
In a democratic society, people have the right to share footage of events that take place in public and to discuss why such horrific acts keep happening in our country.

Please remember that you must not express your feelings about the Belfast atrocity until the political establishment has told you exactly how you are supposed to feel. That's how it works now.
Wie lange will man noch beschwichtigen, ritualisierte Betroffenheitsbekundungen absondern und nichts verändern? Die Frage, die sich Briten stellen, ist existenziell via @welt https://t.co/vtjHsnLB4V
You cannot import chaos, suppress the facts, and then demand public calm. A man is fighting for his life after a barbaric attempted beheading in Belfast. The suspect reportedly entered the UK from Dublin and was granted leave to remain. The public do not need lectures. They need the truth. The truth is this would not have happened if we had borders.
@AllisonPearson They want us to shut up. Nothing is clearer. Die quietly.
We are in an abusive relationship with a government who hates and despises us.
