Drishti-10 crashed today, and honestly, I'm not as concerned as many people seem to be.

First and most importantly, there were no injuries or fatalities.

These systems are still relatively new to our ecosystem, and training sorties exist for a reason. Every flight tests not just the drone, but the procedures, operators, maintenance chain, and the way the system performs in real conditions. Sometimes things go wrong, and when they do, valuable lessons are learned.

India has a significant ISR gap compared to some of our adversaries. Platforms like Drishti-10 are part of the effort to close that gap. Whether a sortie is successful or ends in a crash, data is collected, shortcomings are identified, and the system improves.

No military capability matures without setbacks. What matters is understanding why it happened and making sure the next flight is better than the last.

Drishti-10 crashed during a training sortie near Porbandar. No injuries or loss of life. Investigation underway.

Every major military operating advanced MALE UAVs has faced training and testing losses with their high-value platforms.

The US, which runs the world’s largest and most experienced Reaper fleet, has had multiple MQ-9 crashes during training missions and routine flights due to mechanical issues and human factors.

Public US Air Force records show examples such as:

1) A 2022 MQ-9 training crash in Romania

2) A 2024 propeller failure that caused a Reaper to ditch in the Mediterranean

3) A 2025 crash off South Korea during operations

These are not rare anomalies. They are part of operating complex unmanned systems at scale.

The fundamental advantage of UAVs is exactly this: you can push the platform hard in training, generate real operational data, accept some attrition, and improve — without risking a single pilot’s life.

That data from every sortie, successful or not, makes the next generation of procedures, software, and reliability better.

India is following the same path every serious UAV operator has taken. We are building maritime ISR capability from a position of relative newness. More flight hours including the difficult ones is how you close that gap.

This is how capable drone forces are actually built.

Revenue more than doubled between FY21 and FY26. The stock re-rated ~16x. But the bigger story isn't just the share price performance - it's the seamless execution and business transformation.

Today, AXISCADES is repositioning itself beyond engineering services into four long-term growth platforms:
- Aerospace Manufacturing, SCM & MRO
- Defence Solutions
- XiDA – AI-centric ESAI platform
- Space Systems

The strategy in my view is unconventional. Instead of expanding legacy businesses, the company is monetising them. Per the management, the recent two-phase engineering services divestment, valued at up to ~₹2,256 Cr, is intended to fund manufacturing infrastructure, pursuing inorganic growth and platform capabilities across aerospace, defence, space and AI.

The roadmap is called “Power 930” with FY2030 target:
- ₹9,000 Cr revenue
- ₹960 Cr PAT

For the company, FY26 wasn't just about growth, it was about laying the foundation.

Revenue grew 12.4% YoY to ₹1,159 Cr, EBITDA rose 24.6% with margins expanding to 15.3%.

The investment thesis now shifts from "Can AXISCADES grow?" to "Can it execute one of the most ambitious transitions in India's listed aerospace and defence ecosystem?"

The opportunity is significant. So is the execution required.

यह पहल विद्यार्थियों में जल संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ स्कूलों को पर्यावरण के प्रति अधिक जिम्मेदार और भविष्य के लिए तैयार बनाने की दिशा में एक सार्थक प्रयास है।
