After India lost the 2023 World Cup final in Ahmedabad, our coach Rahul Dravid told me something that I will never forget.

​The whole tournament, this team looked unbeatable until Ahmedabad happened. The dressing room was silent. The energy was very low. And people didn't know what to tell each other. The hearts were broken.

​I walked Rahul sir to the press conference, and on the way, I told him, "Rahul sir, wouldn't it have been lovely if we had won the tournament?" And Rahul sir, at his classy best, told me, "In life, you won't always get what you want, but if you have given something your whole heart, remember the process, the people you met, the memories you created, and the work that you put in. Life is not always about the trophies." That stuck with me.

Modi Govt: 16 naval platforms commissioned from projects CONTRACTED AFTER 2014

Congrats CONgress. U finally can claim 1 victory😂

BUT HERE’S THE CATCH.

My calculation of Modi Sarkar's 16 deliberately excludes every ship/submarine whose order or major project work began under UPA.

That means:

❌ No Scorpene submarines — original contract was 2005
❌ No INS Vikrant — project predates 2014
❌ No Project-15B destroyers — programme predates 2014

EVEN THOUGH many of these were completed/commissioned under Modi Sarkar.

Why apply such a strict rule?

Because otherwise CONgress would immediately claim credit for projects merely because they were started during its tenure without telling you why weren't they able to complete those projects/purchases even after full 10 yrs.

And that makes the larger story even more embarrassing for CONgress.

In 2014, UPA Defence Minister A.K. Antony admitted that 92% of the defence capital allocation had already been exhausted and effectively said there was “no money left” for major acquisitions.

The Rafale decision remained stuck.

Defence procurement remained notoriously slow.

And Bharat's armed forces were left waiting.

Then came .@narendramodi Ji.

🇮🇳 Make in India in Defence.

🇮🇳 Massive expansion of indigenous naval construction.

🇮🇳 6 Project-17A stealth frigates commissioned from a post-2014 contract.

🇮🇳 6 indigenous Anti-Submarine Warfare shallow-water craft commissioned.

🇮🇳 4 modern Survey Vessels commissioned.

And this is only the strict post-2014-contract count: 16 platforms, started & completed within 10 yrs.

If you include completion of projects approved under UPA Govt, the broader record is much larger: 40+ indigenous warships & submarines have been delivered since 2014, including inherited programmes completed under Modi.

So yes, CONgress can wave the “28” number around without telling you that completed count is ONLY 4.

And therefore here's the question CONgress must answer:

Why was a Nation facing two hostile neighbours forced to wait years for critical defence equipment while your government kept saying procurement was stuck because there was “no money”?

How did money suddenly become available after Modi Sarkar came in? So where was money going, Mr Rahul Ghandy?

National security isn't a competition over who can count completed projects.

It is about whether you build the capability Bharat needs — when Bharat needs it.

CONgress had 10 years.

Modi Ji inherited the backlog.

One left defence files pending. 😪

The other turned Bharat into a defence manufacturing power.💪

And THAT is the comparison CONgress doesn't want you to know & reason why.... You must know to keep CONgress out FOREVER!

🚨India's ₹75 Billion Shipping Vulnerability Finally Gets a Counterattack: 100 New Ships, 437 More in the Pipeline, and a Direct Assault on Foreign Maritime Dependence

India handles nearly 90–95% of its EXIM cargo through foreign vessels, sending an estimated $75 billion every year in freight payments abroad. For a rising trading power, this is not just an economic burden, it is a strategic vulnerability.

The government is now moving to change that with a 100-vessel programme over the next five years, covering crude tankers, LNG and LPG carriers, container ships, bulk carriers and dredgers.

The plan is backed by multiple measures. A ₹24,736 crore Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Scheme aims to strengthen domestic shipbuilding, while the ₹25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund supports maritime investment, ship acquisition and capacity expansion. Suitable foreign-owned vessels may also be reflagged under the Indian flag to rapidly expand the fleet.

And 100 ships is only the beginning. A separate programme targets 437 vessels, with 62 planned in the initial phase, creating a much broader pipeline for domestic fleet expansion.

India is simultaneously attacking other points of dependence. The ₹12,980 crore Bharat Maritime Insurance Pool is intended to reduce reliance on foreign insurers during geopolitical disruptions, while the Bharat Container Line initiative and indigenous container manufacturing aim to strengthen India's container ecosystem.

The problem is not that India has no ships. Indian vessels often face a significant cost disadvantage because of higher construction, financing, maintenance and taxation costs, making foreign vessels more commercially attractive.

That is precisely what these reforms are designed to fix.

The larger objective is clear: build an integrated Indian maritime ecosystem—from shipyards and ships to containers, financing and insurance.

India cannot aspire to become a global manufacturing and trading superpower while allowing foreign fleets to control the movement of most of its international trade.

The 100-ship programme is therefore more than a fleet expansion. It is the beginning of an attempt to bring India's maritime trade under greater Indian control.

Dear @IAF_MCC,

Just finished watching Operation Safed Sagar. It made me think about how different life is for the people who are out there, carrying the pressure and uncertainty, while the rest of us are able to sleep peacefully and carry on with our everyday lives.

I had met Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa many years ago. Watching Operation Safed Sagar now, and seeing what he and so many others went through during Kargil, made me look back at that meeting with a deeper sense of appreciation.

The courage is extraordinary. So is the discipline and mental strength behind it.

I feel fortunate to be associated with the IAF and to have an understanding of the values that define it. Watching this story only made me more grateful.

IMMENSE NEGATIVITY from Telugu Media circle and people for #Yash currently because whole of Social Media is filled with their Hate comments.

This was anyway expected because the kind of generational growth that yash is enjoying at Pan India level , it poses a direct threat to existing stars. Yes, #Toxic didnt work but the kind of negativity that people with some agendas are doing is beyond anything and trust me this only proves my point. Three years ago after KGF, even producer #AlluAravind made a statement about Yash, and today we are seeing the same kind of negativity originating from that section only. Imagine the level of negativity that yash 's mother has to give a statement. This was really disappointing to see, really heartbreaking.

The man who took Kannada Cinema to global stage and the man who has done everything possible for the industry is meeting with this fate especially from certain sections for the reason you definitely know. Yes, one film can break your reputation but remember its just one friday that can make you too. So the game is not over yet, it has just started and I hope, wish and request all the admirers and fans of @TheNameIsYash to stay strong and be together to counter such fake pr narratives against him because your star is now the proper Pan India star and probably the Biggest pan india pull currently.
