Right now, fighting is taking place near the location where we filmed this video in 2021.

The song is called “People Leave People.”

The airplane-shaped pendant worn by the main characters is my pendant, which I’ve been wearing for many years. We thought about an item that should “connect” the main characters as a shared memory, and decided to use my pendant as a prop.
As the DOP, the hardest part for me was walking up the spoil tip slope with a steadicam towards the top, keeping the character in frame.
I also shot the drone footage.

The car in which the characters are traveling was rented in Mariupol.

The road from the final shot of the video is now under russian fire control.

Buy Me A Coffee and PayPal are shutting down Ukranians accounts.

Trumpy scum feels untouchable and omnipotent.
They shut down my account without normal explanation. They just deactivated it, telling they will refund remaining funds to supporters. But when I contacted supporters with questions if they received their donations back, they said that nothing has been received. More than this: when supporters initiated chargebacks, Buy Me A Coffee appealed them and after that these transactions are stated in account as "WON" in my favor. So they won "for me" those donations that nobody received, the donations that in fact were just stolen by BMC.
Almost simultaneously PayPal sent a message "You can not use PayPal anymore". That's it. No explanations just an abstract bullshit "to reduse risks", like if they were writing their messages together with BMC. I've made a research and found out that this happenned to many other accounts of Ukranians just because they are Ukranians. I even found video "Sternenko vs BuyMeACoffee telling the story of deactivating an account of probably most effective Ukrainian volunteer.

To those supporters, who was ripped off by BMC - I am not gonna leave it like this and will keep you updated about progress of returning your donations.

Vasyl Ratushny is K.I.A.

This is older brother of Roman Ratushniy, that was killed in action in June of 2022. In one of our conversations with @ChuckPfarrer I told the story how I was impressed by behavior of their father Taras, when just after two days of his younger son Roman death I urgently called him for some information about jamming stations and he spent about an hour for sharing with me some important information regarding electronic warfare methods they were using at that moment. Taras is ex-journalist who became real pro in electronic warfare. Roman is well known activist, after 24.02 he was a recon in 93 infantry brigade, Vasyl was UAV pilot in 414 brigade of USF. Whole family participated in Revolution of Dignity in 2013/14, then they all volunteered to Forces of Defence.
In the end of that our conversation in June of 2022 I told Taras “I know that words don’t work when something like this happens.Therefore I only wish you to stay strong”.
I think I saw a lot. But I have no idea of how and where to get strength for things like this. When you rise your kids and then they die young one after another because of psychos behind the eastern border. And one of them is killed by FPV drone when your current job is counter-drone assets.

R.I.P. Vasyl.

The song that you can hear on this video is very famous Christmas song "Carol of The Bells" which is originally "Shchedryk" by Ukrainian composer Leontovich. There is an opinion that he wrote one of the versions of the song in Pokrovsk where he was working since 1904 as a music teacher. I saw that old building with sign "Here the "Shchedryk" was born" when it was not yet smashed by russians.

Ironically, the drink on the video is energy drink called "Hell".
Just like what's going on right now near Pokrovsk.

I always say that I consider those who help Ukraine not only by words as brothers in arms. @MriyaReport team and audience will always be a part of it, no matter how and when this war will end.

And let me assure you guys that this is your day too. From the deep of my heart and on behalf of all of my friends here in Ukraine, I’m sending you greetings along with modest postcard. Thank you guys. The Amazon of Justice established by you and others like you will never be erased from the history. And from my brain as long as it’s alive.

Today I have a B-day and it wouldn’t be fair to refuse that Mriya Report and MR’s listeners/donators/helpers are very important part of those who make my another B-day happen. And this is not about possibility for me to celebrate, not at all. Thank to people like you I still can keep my old tradition: every birthday in the morning I make a very first birthday phone call, to the same person, with the same words. This is a call to my mom saying “Good morning, ma’am and congrats. You’ve got a boy”. I used to do this because I used to think that for many people their own birthday not such a big holiday as it is for their mothers. In my case it’s completely true. And it wouldn’t be possible without being alive.

I want to thank you guys for what you’re doing for Ukraine, for thousands of mothers that can have such a simple and such an important thing - a happiness to hear the voice of their child like they had it years ago when gave this child a birth. For giving a hope to hear these voices again at home.

And for giving a faith and strength to those who will never hear again these beloved voices of their sons and daughters, a faith that biggest loss in their lives made possible the next generation to live in better world.

Thank you, brothers in arms.

I made this video when we liberated Bucha, in April of 2022. I was a member of special group of pilots that were sent to make huge work of photogrammetry in the area.
Within 24 hours after release it already has 1 million+ views in Instagram and about 200k in YouTube, but it was not as impressive as a number of people from this city that wrote me after release thanking me for showing this video. It was really unexpected.

For almost two years the video was kinda “musical orphan” - it had no music, although from the very beginning I understoof that it must be with music. We agreed with Noize MC that he will write a song for this video. So he did. This is the case when the music video exists BEFORE the song it was made for. Some lyrics are even "synchronized" with camera movement - words "...that open air..." go when we understand that this is not inside the room, the drums come in right when you see the smashed drum kit, camera goes back from the house on "...I would like to get back there...". But the song is not about this house, it's memories about "MARIUPOL Fest" where we were together at summer 2021 - last summer before fullscale invasion. The song called "Open Air".

Ironically the street where this house was at had name of Turgenev - russian classical writer. That's how russians "protect russian culture" around the world. Now the street has name of Ukrainian artist Matviy Dontsov. Also if you look attentive at the drumset, you'll see a sticker of red star - vintage symbol of USSR and current symbol of russian army.

Coordinates in the end lead you to the picture of this house before the war.

Locals told me today that the house was demolished just two weeks ago. So there is just a clear space instead of "mucisian's house".
