Je hebt jaren keihard gewerkt aan je eigen bedrijf. Alles gegeven. Maar dan komt het moment waar je nooit op had gerekend: faillissement. Alles kwijt. Geen inkomen meer, alleen stress, paniek, schaamte.
Je vraagt tijdelijk een uitkering aan. Niet om luxe te leven, maar om te overleven, even alles op een rijtje te krijgen. Afgewezen. Onterecht, blijkt later. Je krijgt gelijk. Maar alsnog: pas eind juni geld.
Tot die tijd? Zoek het maar uit.
Eten? Tja....lik het behang maar van de muren.

Er is een overbruggingslening, zodat je je huur kunt betalen en niet op een bankje hoeft te slapen. Maar die moet je natuurlijk wel terugbetalen. Bovenop de ellende.
Dit is geen incident. Dit is het systeem.

Een systeem dat je breekt, je laat spartelen. Waarin hulp krijgen voelt als vechten tegen de stroom. Waarin fouten worden toegegeven, maar jij alsnog opdraait voor de gevolgen.
