@andrewchen 100%! I was making this same case to my finance partner earlier today. Spreadsheets are tortured into 1,000 different things. Some of those are best as a sheet, but many would be better as micro apps & automations. More still never got built at all bc the effort was too high
@NicholasKorom You’re assuming the property actually earns enough to cover mortgage and upkeep. Check AIRDNA, most don’t cash flow. So you have to be willing to lose each month to own, maintain, and manage to defer the taxes. Ends up being a lot of work for a ~10% return, not magic.
@mcuban This, 1,000%. Healthcare is the most broken consumer experience in America, and it is largely because consumers are NOT the customer: employers and the government are. That distorts incentives and behavior of providers and insurers in many ways.

Is it just me or is the internet regressing into a wasteland of popups? Every site I visit asks me to accept cookies and give them my email address to take 20% off before I can even browse the site.
My wife just got a call from “ICE” that I had been taken. I was sitting in the next room. Surely there was an ask for money coming, but she couldn’t keep it together. Panic clouds judgement, and overseas scam mills are exploiting that to target immigrants. Sad.
@nikunj@GoogleDeepMind Fwiw @GeminiApp did add the audio podcast feature from NotebookLM to Gemini (idk when but it's in there today). Overall point taken though - Google kicks ass at engineering but sometimes gets its ass kicked on user experience & go-to-market. See also: Transformers.
@elonmusk what is the obsession with transgender people? they make up 1% of the population. The whole conversation on both sides is just pointless, virtue signaling or demonizing of a minority group. Let’s move on. We’ve got a bigger fish to fry.
