Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien, General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, and International Vice Presidents Victor Mineros and Mark Davison participated in Local 952’s Steward Seminar in Orange, Calif., highlighting the vital roles stewards perform to enforce contracts and strengthen the union.
Alongside Eric Jimenez, President of Local 952, they discussed recent member-driven campaigns and partnerships with the International Union to organize more workers and win better agreements. Recently, members of Local 952 won strong contracts with significant wage and pension increases for 1,600 Teamsters at Albertsons in Orange and 900 Teamsters at the CVS Health Distribution Center in La Habra.
“The services you deliver as stewards impact so many of our brothers and sisters, and improve our union in California and across the nation. You know all too well that as Teamsters stewards, the work never stops to protect our members," O'Brien said. "Every day we must be focused on improving the lives of rank-and-file Teamsters — a responsibility that’s always worth any sacrifices we must make to get the job done."
@chesscom you need a feature where players online can set up a friendly arrangement in advance of "Best of 3" when playing with strangers, otherwise your app is worthless and meaningless and becomes a toxic addiction.
Democrats won't forget how Republicans broke the filibuster to pass tax breaks for billionaires.
There will be no stopping us from doing the same to pass meaningful, comprehensive immigration reform.
Behind closed doors - with no public meetings, public hearings, or transparency - Republicans wrote the dream bill for their billionaire and corporate donors.
It throws 16 million people off of Medicaid in order to fund a new $270,000 tax cut for the richest CEOs in America.
@chesscomsupport do you have a pause button for people to shake off a loss or go get something to eat instead of staring at a screen while the clock goes down? Something more fun than an anonymous opponent routing you silently or you not opening their chat and then them rejecting your rematch?
Trump is claiming his strikes on Iran made the American people safer. He is dangerously wrong.
I served two combat tours in Iraq and am now on the Armed Services Committee.
His actions were not only unconstitutional, they have made America less safe – not more.
Here’s why:
🧵
I'm grateful our pilots are safely out of Iran – and I thank them for their bravery.
But in the absence of evidence that Iran was imminently breaking out to build a bomb, and without congressional approval, this operation should have never been ordered.
To have done so is unconstitutional and moves us closer to another forever war. That must not happen.
I encourage everyone to consider attending one of the many demonstrations planned for tomorrow across the country.
Show up. Demand accountability. Peacefully protest.

Yesterday, I met with a 12-year-old boy in Oxnard, CA. His mom and dad have been fieldworkers for over 20 years.
ICE agents snatched his parents from the fields and left this boy alone with no clue when he’ll see them again.
A 6th grader.
This is Los Angeles.
We are a city of labor, of business, of faith.
We are a city of believers. We are a city of dreamers.
We will ALWAYS stand together.
Netanyahu’s illegal unilateral attack on Iran risks a full-blown war.
These strikes directly undermine the U.S. diplomatic efforts to address Iran’s nuclear program. Talks were planned for Sunday, but Netanyahu chose to attack.
We must not be dragged into another Netanyahu war.
I went to the floor this afternoon immediately after the violent manhandling of my colleague Senator Padilla. This cannot stand. This is a defining moment for our nation.
