Getting ready to vote on lowering your personal income tax rate by 10% and eliminating the gross receipts tax on electricity bills. This vote will help every business, every household and every person that packs a lunch and goes to work in Pennsylvania. It’s a great day in PA.
Finding out if #bigotry, indifference or neglect played a role in closing these schools is very important. Here’s another aspect that’s been ignored.
These #CharterSchools were closed (allegedly) because of “poor” academic performance or “poor” financial management. Maybe…
But, there are countless #Philly School District-run schools—and, across PA—that have even lower academic performance, some have a ZERO proficiency rate. And, their schools and/or school district often run a deficit—and, have to turn to local and/or state taxpayers for a bailout. And, are kept open—forever.
Q: Why the double-standard?
Why do politicians protect failing #PublicSchools? And, those running them?
Why close the charter schools that parents WANT their #children to attend; yet, keep open the schools that #students are FORCED to attend?
If the focus is supposed to be children—and, what’s best for them; why are charter #parents are students treated differently?

Whether we call them Lifeline Sholarships or vouchers, providing as many avenues for children to succeed in education must be the top priority. Kudos to Governor Shapiro for advocating for “all children of God.”
