POSITIVE UPDATE: NATIONAL GUARDSMAN ANDREW WOLFE NOW AWAKE AND RESPONSIVE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A hopeful development has emerged following last week’s ambush that left two National Guard members shot in downtown D.C.
National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe, 24, is now awake and responsive at the hospital, according to sources familiar with his condition.
Medical staff report that Wolfe:
•Gave a thumbs-up to nurses
•Showed movement in his toes
•Is continuing to make encouraging progress
Wolfe remains hospitalized as he recovers from critical injuries sustained during the attack.
This update comes just days after the tragic death of fellow Guardsman Sarah Beckstrom, whose loss has deeply impacted the National Guard community and the region.

She was saved just in time from the dog meat trade in Korea. She was destined to be butchered up.
She is a gentle giant and she needs a home. Hopefully X can help… (1/8) 🧵
