@vijayninel@IndianTechGuide I thought credit cards have MDR at petrol pumps. I could be wrong. I pay many times through credit card and was never asked for another mode of payment. Maybe others have had a different experience.
@vijayninel@IndianTechGuide Will they refuse UPI for a flat Rs.5
We will have to wait till October 15th and see the dynamics of convenience vs fee. The buyer merchant ecosystem will decide.
@HydREGuide At least 3 nalas are there where it becomes extremely narrow I guess something like 30 feet and at many places the adjoining land boundaries make it definitely far less than 100 ft unless some parts of those lands are acquired
As a daily commuter on that road I agree with the progress part but cannot say significant by any stretch of imagination. I am optimistic though that some day it will be completed and end our commuting woes. In many places on that road land has to be acquired and there are no signs of that. In the small stretches that are completed electric poles have not been shifted and there was an incident of a truck hitting the pole and power disruption. Hoping that the authorities take note and coordinate better between the departments to ensure there is no rework wasting tax payer money.
@vbraju@India_Policy Unless banks waves of the MDR for fuel stations it is not possible for them to accept it. Itโs unviable. There are many such businesses which runs on thin margin. These people will stop accepting.
@nayabharatindia@India_Policy True so if banks were already absorbing 2% MDR on their own why will they not absorb Rs.5 so that the fuel retailer is not impacted
@old_cricketer MDR is not a tax.
And, Educational fee payments via UPI above โน2,000 will attract a concessional flat MDR of โน5 per transaction starting October 15, 2026
