Vanakkam Aswatham ji,
I understand your affection and long-standing relationship with Annamalai. You have every right to feel hurt by the words coming from some of his supporters or cadres. Personal equations matter in politics, and no one doubts the hardships you and many others have endured for the party.
However, let’s be clear on a few points:
Annamalai has formally parted ways with the BJP. His resignation was accepted by the national president. He is now building his own movement (“We The Leaders”) and charting an independent political path. He is no longer a member or office-bearer of our party. Expecting him to control or endorse/disapprove every statement from people who follow him now is unrealistic. He is doing his politics, just as we are doing ours.
Political separations are never easy, Difference happen — over strategy, alliances, leadership, or vision. But once the exit is done, it is best for both sides to move forward with dignity instead of public back-and-forth. Asking him publicly to “stop this nonsense” or seeking his personal approval for every speech by his new followers only keeps the spotlight on internal friction rather than on the real challenges: DMK’s governance, Dravidian politics, or building a strong alternative in Tamil Nadu.
BJP Tamil Nadu is not at the mercy of any one individual — not Annamalai, not anyone else. Our party has a strong national ideology, committed workers, and a clear vision for the state. Strong leaders come and go; the organisation and its principles remain. Many dedicated karyakarthas have worked long before Annamalai joined and will continue after. We should focus on strengthening our cadre, expanding our base, and countering the real opponents instead of reacting to every statement from the other side.
Healthy criticism and competition are part of democracy. If some voices are harsh, the best response is to ignore unnecessary noise and work harder on the ground. Let Annamalai pursue his new journey peacefully. Let us focus on ours.
Let’s keep personal respect intact, but party interests and forward movement first.

I asked him to go AIIMS Madurai to display the evidence of construction. But he never did that.

இயக்குநர் இமயம் பாரதிராஜா - ஒரு அஞ்சலி
இன்று தமிழ் சினிமா தன் உச்ச நட்சத்திரங்களில் ஒன்றை இழந்துள்ளது. இயக்குநர் இமயம் பாரதிராஜா (பிறப்பு: 17 ஜூலை 1941 - மறைவு: 10 ஜூன் 2026) அவர்கள் 84 வயதில் சென்னையில் காலமானார். தமிழ் திரையுலகின் புரட்சிகர இயக்குநரான அவர், கிராமத்தின் உயிர் நாடியைத் திரைக்கு கொண்டு வந்தவர்.

அல்லிநகரம், தேனி மாவட்டத்தில் எளிய கிராமத்து வேர்களிலிருந்து உயர்ந்து, தமிழ் சினிமாவை மாற்றியமைத்தவர் பாரதிராஜா. அவருக்கு முன் திரைப்படங்கள் பெரும்பாலும் ஸ்டூடியோக்களிலும் நகர்ப்புற கற்பனைகளிலும் சிக்கியிருந்தன. அவர் கேமராவை வயல்வெளிகளுக்கும், மண் பாதைகளுக்கும், கூரை வீடுகளுக்கும், எளிய மக்களின் இதயங்களுக்கும் கொண்டு சென்றார்.
தன் முதல் படமான 16 வயதினிலே (1977) மூலமே புதிய யுகத்தை அறிவித்தார். ரஜினிகாந்த், கமல்ஹாசன், ஸ்ரீதேவி போன்ற பெரும்புள்ளிகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்திய இப்படம், கிராமிய யதார்த்தம், உணர்ச்சி வேகம், சமூக உண்மைகளுடன் வெற்றியை நிரூபித்தது.

“என் இனிய தமிழ் மக்களே…” என்ற அவரது குரல், தமிழ் மக்களுடன் அவர் கொண்டிருந்த ஆழமான பிணைப்பின் சின்னமாக மாறியது. கிழக்கே போகும் ரயில், சிகப்பு ரோஜாக்கள், அலைகள் ஓய்வதில்லை, முதல் மரியாதை, வேதம் புதிது, கருத்தம்மா, கிழக்கு சீமையிலே போன்ற படங்கள் வெறும் கதைகள் அல்ல; சாதி, காதல், குடும்பம், பாலினம், மனித உறுதி ஆகியவற்றை நேர்மையுடனும் பரிவுடனும் பிரதிபலித்த கண்ணாடிகள்.
அவர் உண்மையான ஆசிரியர். தானே எழுதி, இயக்கி, தயாரித்து, இசையிலும் நடிப்பிலும் தன் தனிப்பட்ட தொடுதலை பதித்தவர். எண்ணற்ற புதுமுகங்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார், தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக இயக்குநர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டினார். தமிழ் திரைப்பட தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் சங்கத்தை இணைந்து நிறுவி உரிமைகளுக்காகப் போராடினார். தெலுங்கு, இந்தி எனப் பரவியும், அந்த மண் வாசனையைத் தக்க வைத்தார்.
ஆறு தேசிய விருதுகள், நான்கு பிலிம்பேர் விருதுகள் ,ஆறு தமிழ்நாடு அரசு விருதுகள், நந்தி விருது, 2004-ல் பத்மஸ்ரீ — விருதுகள் பல, ஆனால் அவரது உண்மையான சாதனை மிகப் பெரியது: சினிமாவை ஜனநாயகப்படுத்தினார். கிராமத்தை நாயகனாக்கினார், எளிய மனிதனை அதன் குரலாக்கினார்.
உடல்நலக் குறைவு, தனிப்பட்ட இழப்புகள் இருந்தும், சினிமா மீதான ஆர்வம் மங்கவில்லை. இறுதிக் காலப் படங்களிலும் இயக்குநர் இமயத்தின் நெருப்பு மின்னியது.
பாரதிராஜா வெறும் படங்களை இயக்கவில்லை. வாழ்க்கையை அதன் முழு யதார்த்த அழகுடன் வரைந்தார். ஒதுக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு கௌரவத்தையும், இளைஞர்களுக்கு தைரியத்தையும், தமிழ் பண்பாட்டுக்கு அழியாத கதாபாத்திரங்களையும் தந்தார்.
திரையுலகம் துக்கத்தில் மூழ்கியுள்ள இந்த நேரத்தில் ஒன்று தெளிவு: “இயக்குநர் இமயம்” நம்மைத் தாண்டி உயர்ந்துவிட்டார். ஆனால் அவரது கதைகள், கதாபாத்திரங்கள், புரட்சிகர உணர்வு — ஒவ்வொரு உண்மையான தமிழ் படத்திலும், ஒவ்வொரு துணிச்சலான கதையிலும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.

ஆணவத்திலும், அடக்குமுறையிலும் திமுகவையே மிஞ்சிய தவெக!

திரு. ஜோசப் விஜய் அவர்களின் தலைமையிலான “ரீல்ஸ் மாடல்” அரசுக்கு எதிரான செய்திகளை, உண்மைக் கள நிலவரங்களை மக்களிடையே கொண்டு சேர்த்தமைக்காக, @polimernews, @NewsTamilTV24x7 மற்றும் @TamilJanamNews ஆகிய சேனல்கள் தமிழக அரசு கேபிள் ஒளிபரப்பிலிருந்து நீக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக வெளியாகியுள்ள தகவல்கள் கடும் அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கின்றன.

விமர்சனங்களை எதிர்கொள்ள முடியாத தவெக அரசின் இந்த அப்பட்டமான அடக்குமுறை கடும் கண்டனத்திற்குரியது. பல நூறாண்டு காலம் நாம் போராடி பெற்ற கருத்து சுதந்திரத்திற்கு எதிரானது. தாங்கள் நினைப்பது மட்டுமே செய்திகளாக ஒலிக்க வேண்டும், தங்களுக்கு பிடித்தவைகள் மட்டுமே காட்சிகளாகப் பதிய வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தில், தங்களுக்கு எதிராக பேசும் சமூக ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் முதல் செய்தி சேனல்கள் வரை அனைவரையும் முடக்க நினைக்கும் தவெக, மற்றொரு “தீயசக்தி”யாக மெல்ல மெல்ல வலுப்பெற்றுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
காரணம், முந்தைய திமுக ஆட்சியிலும் பத்திரிக்கைகளின் குரல்வளை நெறிக்கப்பட்டது. “இம் என்றால் வனவாசம், ஆம் என்றால் சிறைவாசம்” என்ற நிலை தான் இருந்தது. ஆட்சி மாறினாலும் காட்சி மாறவில்லை என்பதற்கேற்ப தற்போதைய தவெக ஆட்சியிலும் ஊடகச் சுதந்திரம் முடக்கப்படுவது தமிழகத்திற்கு பேராபத்தானது,

எனவே, தமிழக மக்கள் ஒழித்துக் கட்ட நினைத்த திமுகவிடம் ட்ரெய்னிங் எடுத்துக் கொண்ட திரு. ஆதவ் அர்ஜுனா அவர்களை இனியும் நிழல் முதல்வராகத் தொடர அனுமதித்தால், தமிழக மக்களின் பெருங்கோபத்தை முதல்வர் திரு. @TVKVijayHQ அவர்கள் சந்திக்க நேரிடும் என்பதை எச்சரிக்கையாகவே தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.

மரிதாஸ் கைது செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதை வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கிறோம்.

ஒரு அரசை விமர்சிப்பது குற்றமல்ல. அரசின் செயல்பாடுகளில் உள்ள குறைகள், தவறுகள், நிர்வாகப் பிழைகள் ஆகியவற்றை சுட்டிக்காட்டுவது ஜனநாயக உரிமை. அந்த கருத்துகளுடன் உடன்படாமல் இருக்கலாம்; ஆனால் அதற்கான பதில் கைது அல்ல.

ஒருவரின் கருத்து தவறாக இருந்தால், அதற்கு ஆதாரங்களுடனும் தர்க்கங்களுடனும் பதிலளிக்கலாம். சட்டத்தை பயன்படுத்தி விமர்சனக் குரல்களை அடக்க முயல்வது ஜனநாயகத்தின் ஆவிக்கு எதிரானது.

கருத்துக்கு பதில் கருத்து, விமர்சனத்திற்கு பதில் விளக்கம், குற்றச்சாட்டிற்கு பதில் உண்மைத் தகவல்கள் — இதுவே ஒரு முதிர்ந்த ஜனநாயகத்தின் அடையாளம். கைது மற்றும் அச்சுறுத்தல் அல்ல.

இன்று மரிதாஸ்; நாளை வேறு ஒருவர். அரசின் தவறுகளை சுட்டிக்காட்டும் ஒவ்வொரு குரலையும் குற்றவாளியாக பார்க்கத் தொடங்கினால், இறுதியில் பாதிக்கப்படுவது ஜனநாயகமும் மக்களின் உரிமைகளும்தான்.

விமர்சனங்களை ஒடுக்குவதற்குப் பதிலாக அவற்றைக் கேட்டு, உண்மை இருந்தால் திருத்திக் கொள்வதே நல்லாட்சி. எனவே மரிதாஸ் கைது நடவடிக்கையை கண்டிக்கிறோம்; கருத்துச் சுதந்திரமும் ஜனநாயக உரிமைகளும் பாதுகாக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்துகிறோம்.

Tamil Nadu has lost a major industrial project. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), which had earlier signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu government, is now turning its attention to Andhra Pradesh.
Mazagon Dock is set to become the key anchor investor in a massive ₹29,000 crore shipbuilding facility at Dugarajapatnam (also referred to as Tukarajapattinam) in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district. The project is expected to have an annual shipbuilding capacity of 1.2 million tonnes and will be spread over approximately 3,500 acres. It is anticipated to generate significant employment in the state. The Central Government is also giving importance to this initiative to boost India’s overall shipbuilding capabilities.17
In September 2025 (specifically on 19 September), Mazagon Dock had signed an MoU with Guidance Tamil Nadu (the state’s investment promotion agency) for a world-class greenfield shipyard in Thoothukudi. That project was planned with an investment of around ₹15,000 crore and was expected to create about 45,000 jobs (5,000 direct and 40,000 indirect).0
However, in the current post-election environment in Tamil Nadu, delays in accelerating the project appear to have prompted Mazagon Dock to shift its focus toward Andhra Pradesh (and possibly Maharashtra as well).35
Key Context:
•The Tamil Nadu project has not been officially cancelled, but progress seems to have slowed.
•Andhra Pradesh has already formed a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with Visakhapatnam Port Authority for the mega cluster.
•Mazagon Dock representatives are expected to visit the Dugarajapatnam site soon to assess feasibility.
This development highlights the competitive race among states to attract large maritime investments under the Centre’s Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. Tamil Nadu risks losing out on substantial investment and employment opportunities due to implementation delays.
