Watching tech layoffs over time has made me realize how unstable the tech field is becoming.
With millions of graduates entering the market every year, competition is only going to increase. Even if you get into tech, job security feels uncertain.

Imagine being in your 40s-50s and getting laid off. Starting over then won’t be the same as in your 20s. That’s why I feel it’s important to start thinking about alternative career paths early.

In India, many engineering graduates from branches like Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc moved into tech for faster growth and higher early salaries.
It’s not their fault. Social media made it look easy, with “FAANG bhaiya/didi” stories and basic projects landing big jobs. But now the bar has risen massively.

Personally, as an Electronics undergrad, I’m planning to grind harder and keep hardware field as a backup too.
CS majors don’t always have that flexibility, which makes things even tougher.

If you’re from a non-CS branch, you still have time. Think carefully about your career choices.
These are uncertain times, and it’s better to be prepared.

The city of Lucknow has always had a formidable reputation for its culture and cuisine.
However, cleanliness was never part of its claim to fame.

Concerns included lack of dustbins, public spitting, and scattering of waste during festivals.

I have a special place in my heart for the city, since it is where my mother grew up and became a teacher at IT college before moving to Mumbai.

So to hear about Lucknow becoming the third ranked city in the Swachh Survekshan came as a very pleasant surprise, to put it mildly!

Behind this transformation is IAS Indrajeet Singh, whose efforts have been described in the video.

It proves that when your purpose is clear and you have a sense of mission, no bureaucracy is insurmountable, no change is impossible, including of mindsets.
