The hard part would be figuring out what you'll be measuring. How do you classify a 'fire'?

But people are often afraid of taking shortcuts. Everything that's not the test, make it a shortcut! use the APIs, have prepped test data, storproc if if necessary!
Trying to automate your old, manual tests? Make sure to split up those "grand tours" into smaller pieces!
An "atomic" test covers one behavior individually.
