@thedacare I don’t think anyone should trust advise coming from Theda “Care”. Sounds like it’s run by goblins, Trolls, or something… and the reviews going back several years make it sound like a death trap…
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk How is it foolish? You believe in Tesla, I’m willing to put up 10K worth of Tesla stock! Or cash. Your choice.
What you’re really saying: “it’s foolish to believe FSD will be delivered feature complete next year”. That’s the real message I’m hearing.
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk I don't get why you're misleading people. If you believe it: put your money where your mouth is. You made "big money" on your Tesla stock you say. I'll put up cash *or* Tesla stock.
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk Ah, you didn't read what I said or listened to the things I pointed out. It comes back to that bet that I offered... if you believed what you were spewing, you'd take me up on it. But cognitive dissonance is hard to get over. I've cited source after source, you've cited nothing.
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk Where did you educate me? I knew what they did. It's not a fix for the problem. Not even close (or it would be working today as intended).
@italianmaster@yashdes@JJJSunSunSun@obannonJD@elonmusk Haha, "none of what you state is true". You mean MobilEye as in AP1? You are completely mistaken. EQ3 had *no* color. See it here: https://t.co/3u9JRi0lGl
or here: https://t.co/ZsnUf7hXPI
AP2 uses mostly monochrome cams. Only 1 color channel: red. The cameras are not the same.
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk You mean DeepScale in 2019? If we're 2 yrs+ and they haven't figured out how to use it for solving the problem: it probably isn't helping much. These performance problems exist *today*. And again, even Tesla's own head of AP hardware said he didn't think HW3 was enough for FSD...
@italianmaster@yashdes@JJJSunSunSun@obannonJD@elonmusk Firmware updates cannot correct for cameras that are missing color... AP 2.0 uses RCCC (Red, 3x grayscale filter). You can't magically create color with firmware.
@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk Here's where I cite my sources (incl. VP of AP Hardware @ Tesla) in an offshoot of this thread:

@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk Stated what part? The original intention was noted on release during (I think) AI Day 2019 by EM/AK. As for current limitations, the authorities outside Tesla would be Green and JDouma. A great thread on twitter:

@italianmaster@obannonJD@elonmusk IMHO, that's pretty good support for my statement... Do you have a better authority than the guy that led the development for HW3?
@TKarmane@elonmusk Curious, where are you located and what month/year was your car manufactured? It appears to not be rolling out to anyone outside US or any cars produced before aprox Aug 2017.
